I love the faceplate on these.

I bought a single sonion 2389 from them to replace the one I lost, and I couldn’t hear any difference between it and another 2389 I had. I also got a couple of the 38D1XJ sub drivers and put them in another set I’m working on, and they definitely have that subwoofer in your head thing going on...

Has anyone here come across or used the Alsilience store on Aliexpress? https://www.aliexpress.com/store/1103295014?spm=a2g0o.detail.0.0.2fbdXgmvXgmvXx I've used Amplisound and of course Soundlink with no worries, but I just came across this one now. Has good feedback, so I'm guessing it's all...

I love the idea of printing tubes, and learning how to do that in Fusion360, but if you go down that road, how do you incorporate dampers into the design? Are you stuck with controlling the sound with your crossover section only?

Quick question for anyone who's 3d printing their shells with standard resin, and then giving them a final coat of fotoplast lack3. Are you sanding your shells before adding the lack3? Or are the print layers small enough, that the lack3 will fill them in and still give a smooth finish. I'm...

I think Amplisound sell drivers in single units, instead of a pair like Soundlink, which would be why some things are half price. I’ve purchased stuff from them in the past and it came in a Soundlink branded box.

I'm still struggling with getting the tubing down to this kind of length. My shells have quite the deep insertion, as it was my understanding that for singers it helps with the occlusion effect, but of course that makes it more difficult for tubing lengths. If I was using separate drivers, I'm...

I'm waiting for some more 2mm ID tubing to arrive, so I decided to experiment with the 1mm ID tubing, to hear what you were talking about with the frequency response. You were absolutely correct, highs totally diminished into a horrible midrange mess. Very AM radio sounding. Hopefully my...

I think the last pair I did with sonions were around 18-19mm, as things get a bit tight around the aperture (I think that's what it's called) part of the shell. I haven't tried the GK's in the custom shell yet, just a generic universal shape to test things out.

Hi guys, I've decided to go with a simple GK build this time, starting with the green damper on TWFK and red on the CI, as a start point. I'm more interested in tubing size and what's worked well for others, before experimenting too much. Most of the tutorials I've found online seem to go with...

I've also just picked up a Photon mono 4k for cheap too. I haven't used it yet, as I'm trying to read and learn as much about resin printing as I can before attempting anything. It's good to know there's a few others here using the same machine, so maybe we can learn from each other.

What have peoples experiences been with BA drivers from TaoBao? Not the experience of navigating language differences or shipping and logistics, but with the drivers themselves. The prices almost seem too good to be true compared to mouser, digikey or even Sound Link on Aliexpress, but after...

I'll definitely check these out. I did have a bit more success recently with a 2nd ear impression, where I didn't have my mouth as open as the first time. Surprisingly this is fitting better when I sing, than the impressions I had made with my mouth more in an open singing position. I found...

    Home-Made IEMs

Hi all, I'm new around here, but I've been reading and learning from all the information on here for a while. I have an issue, where I think my ear may be the problem, and not the CIEMS I've made. I use mine for singing on stage, and even with a good fit (I made sure I used a bite block when...
