    Schiit Two Channel Clubhouse

I'm thinking of buying a Schiit Aegir to go with Triton 7s and a Rythmik F12G sub. At least in my experience so far, using high level inputs on the sub has been the best way to get subs to integrate well. Has anyone used a sub with an Aegir wired up that way? Just want to make sure I wont run...

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

I’d have to say the Bifrost2. I liked the sound so much eventually I got a Yggdrasil OG. But for most people BF2 is the right size, and cost. Plus it’s their only DAC with a remote and the easiest to upgrade (both hardware wise and firmware wise since it can be flashes with a microSD card)...

No I believe that’s the old transformer hiding under there. Jason mentioned the toroidal transformer would be “naked” so to speak. I’ll see if I can get a screen capture from the stream.

@Jason Stoddard you mentioned in one of your live streams that Ragnarok 2 now comes with a toroidal transformer. Looks like the specs and pictures on the site still need updating. Not sure if it was forgotten or you guys are still just crazy busy!

Figured I should post some pictures of my new VC LTD Olive Wood! Been getting acquainted with them and the stock pads before I try Uni and Be2 but thus far loving them!

    Schiit Yggdrasil Impressions thread

With a lot of other brands you probably could assume that, but with Schiit you get a price relative to the cost to build. The dac chips and IC based output stage in LIM and MIL are cheaper to build and thus you pay less. To some the discrete output stage in the OG is important but to get that...

New Amp from HeadAmp - GS-X Mini

4pin XLR is technically safer than a lot of the other connectors out there (since each connector has its own spot and isn’t going past multiple connectors when plugging in or out) but I’ve still gotten in the habit of turning everything down when doing so. Enjoy your new amp!

Well said. I’m not saying stop the cat posts, but hopefully there’s room for some dog posts as well.

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

One thing to keep in mind with dual Aegir/Vidar is the amp essentially sees half the resistance, for some speakers with particularly difficult impedance dips this could be an issue (could at least be part of the reason some people have found 1 amp to work better). So I think it somewhat...

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

On the livestream last night Jason mentioned 3 models. Yggy OG (A2 using AD 4x20bit) Yggy “less is more” using 4x16bit TI Yggy “more is less” using 4x20bit TI Jason mentioned at least some preferred “less is more” and that “more is less” measures the best of the 3. Cost wise OG is the most...

Hmm I wonder if the two new flavours of Yggy are using these newer chips from TI? https://www.ti.com/product/DAC11001A 20bit R-2R and the DAC81001 would be the 16bit version. excited to hear more especially since I’m currently in back order for one :)

    Schiit Audio Bifrost 2

That’s just for Bifrost Multibit. Bifrost 2 does 8x oversampling (aka 352.8 or 384khz). So since it only takes 176.4 or 192 in everything in is oversampled.
