The Deals Thread (CLOSED! See the last post for the link to the new thread)

Just got my M50's, and got a great deal. The salesman matched the online price from BH photo ($99) despite their normal price being $159, and then gave me the 15% black friday discount on top of that even though he wasn't supposed to. So I got them for just over $80. :D

Thanks, I'll probably order them from there if I decide to go that route!   Bump.

    Entry-level pair of headphones?

Hey, looking a new pair of headphones in the $100-$150 range. I had a pair of Phiaton MS300's, but though they sounded break, they (and my replacement pair) broke in a matter of months. So I'm looking for a new pair of closed, over-ear cans with some solid passive noise-cancellation. Sound...

Looking for a cheap but durable pair for my dad: under $100.

Quote:   I may be exaggerating the time slightly, but he goes into his office and can stay there all day sometimes. :P   Great suggestions from everyone, keep them coming. Also, anyone got a link on the $99 M50's? I've been thinking about a pair for myself, but couldn't find them for...

++ FULL-SIZE HEADPHONE RECOMMENDATIONS THREAD++ CLOSED: Please post a thread in the Introductions, Help and Advice forum

(Just posted my own thread before I saw this topic, figured I'd better repost it here!)     I recently purchased a pair of Phiaton MS 300 headphones based on a Head-Fi recommendation (which, incidentally, sound great until the plastic breaks next to the cup, both on the original and the...

Looking for a cheap but durable pair for my dad: under $100.

I recently purchased a pair of Phiaton MS 300 headphones based on a Head-Fi recommendation (which, incidentally, sound great until the plastic breaks next to the cup, both on the original and the replacement pair!). Upon hearing them, my dad, who listens to music constantly, decided to replace...

    Headphone Sightings 2

I'm on a college campus, so Beats.   Beats everywhere.   I seriously see at least half a dozen of them every single day, without fail. Mostly solo, but a few studio and pro.

    The BEST-LOOKING Headphones

Gotta toss my vote into the Beats Solo camp. They're absolutely gorgeous phones. Too bad they sound so terrible. :(

    Phiaton MS 400

Just posting to say that I was in the same situation as you, and ending up at a very similar conclusion: Phiaton MS 300. They'll be here Wednesday! Hope you enjoy your new phones. :)

Shootout: 114 Portable Headphones Reviewed (Xiaomi Mi Headphones added 04/21/2015)

I'd be really interested to hear what you have to say about the Phiaton MS 300; from what I hear, it's actually quite different from the MS 400 and I'm considering buying a pair either tonight or tomorrow. It would be my first real set of cans, so I want to get as many opinions as possible...

[review/comparison] Phiaton showdown: MS 300 -vs- MS 400 -vs- PS 500

Thanks, that was helpful. Probably going to be ordering the MS 300 tomorrow. :)

[review/comparison] Phiaton showdown: MS 300 -vs- MS 400 -vs- PS 500

Hm, I'm somewhat torn between the MS 300 and the MS 400... the 300 sounds like it fits what I'm looking for a bit more, but since I wear glasses this talk of clamping down too hard is concerning, not to mention to apparently nasal sounding mids. While I don't care about bass all that much and...
