New supraaural headphones from Thinksound: On1.
Why don't you consider a portable amp/dac? I am a great fan of Fiio and iBasso. Both of them have an absolutely high price:value ratio. The amp or dec will make a world of difference especially for the kind of headphones we are talking about. Of course the problem is, you'll be carrying a couple...- shinystuffbuyer

Looking for a good versatile over ear headphone for $200 - $300 (approx £200)......any suggestions?
You may want to audition the B&W P7/KEF M500/Thinksound On-1. These are all equally good choices. It narrows down to clamping force and comfort.- shinystuffbuyer

I could do Chennai. -
New supraaural headphones from Thinksound: On1.
Don't know why but I have a feeling that on the ear headphones might not be for you :). Have you considered the B&W P7? Although, the On-1 is one of the most comfortable on-ears I have used ever.- shinystuffbuyer

Will Audiophilleo work for me?
Thank you. I think it is time to bite the bullet then. -
New supraaural headphones from Thinksound: On1.
I got a pair of these a week back. These headphones sound way better than the $300 I paid for them. Clamping force for me is optimal. The ear pads are very comfortable and I can easily listen for a couple of hours before I remove them. I use them with a Meridian explorer DAC or Alo Audio Island...- shinystuffbuyer

Will Audiophilleo work for me?
Will Audiophilleo1 (with or without pure power) result in any noticeable difference to my current set up? MacBookPro => Burson HA 160D DAC => Rega Brio R Amp => PSB Imagine mini speakers. I live in India and I do not have a way to audition the device before buying it. However, the power...- shinystuffbuyer

Roll call: Indians staying in India, interested in high end headphones/IEMS
... I think I will (pack up my stuff and shift next door)! I am thinking, should I play the gamble and keep ordering? I need the Audiophilleo for my desktop rig and I am thinking I should just get it shipped directly, what say?- shinystuffbuyer

Roll call: Indians staying in India, interested in high end headphones/IEMS
The customs question is now beginning to bug me. I got a $300 headphone delivered to me from the US, last Tuesday. It came through USPS (I think the last mile was a private courier). I did not get charged any duty whatsoever. Will they "demand" the duty later on (usually that was the case with...- shinystuffbuyer

kothganesh, one of the co-founders of Audeze is Sankar (Thiagasamudram), a Tamilian who went to school in my home town (Coimbatore) and is an engineer from our own PSG Tech. When I bought my LCD-1, I had the opportunity to interact with him over phone. Warm and unassuming. You should try and...- shinystuffbuyer

No Sir, not me. I am a bit wary of purchasing audio equipment online in India. I still think we have to travel some distance in this space. And, if Hifiman say they won't provide warranty, what's the point anyway? I have a question of my own now: What do you guys do for Indian HD music...- shinystuffbuyer
