Official Ipod Video / Classic 5g+5.5g+6g+6.5g+7g SSD Mod thread
I've bought a few batteries (3 I think) from this seller. One was DOA, the other ones were fine. People say they can get them in slim backs, but I really doubt that'll work - I tried, it didn't work for me.- sduck

I use Neutron on my iphone X. I don't know about the backup size thing, I only do icloud backups anymore. But it will play just about anything effortlessly, has it's own storage folder, displays files in folder view in the correct order (not all of them do this!), and you can do some rudimentary...- sduck

Hi - sorry to resurrect this thread, but am looking for suggestions. My new car doesn't have an aux input - I'm used to using a DAP running rockbox for music playback. However, the new one streams music from my iphone fine, and that seems to be the best solution for me. I'm trying to find a...- sduck

Not very big. The best seems to be around 650 mAh. If you really want long life you could switch out the back to the bigger size and put one of those 3000 mAh batteries in there - that makes a huge difference.- sduck

The actual switch is on the logic board, so yes, if it's definitely a physical problem (happening in both the OF and rockbox) then you'll need to replace that. iDemigods has them for a reasonable price (if you're in the US). Don't know about that battery, sorry.- sduck

Looks ok to me. It's not supposed to go in all the way, at least the 4 I've modded didn't. If it's not making contact the first thing to try is just reseating it (try several times if needed) - sometimes they go in at an angle, which doesn't always work. If that doesn't work, you'll need to...- sduck

Rockbox for iBasso DX50 dual boot with stock firmware
Depending on your usage of your DX50 you might want to try what I did. There are several versions of batteries that will "fit", sort of - extended range ones that are a bit bigger (thicker) than the originals. I can't recall the exact brand I got, but there are several like it on amazon - like...- sduck

Rockbox for iBasso DX50 dual boot with stock firmware
1.9.5 came out today. Cholero hasn't done a dual boot version of it yet, but I'm sure he will soon - he usually does it within a day or so. Patience, grasshopper.- sduck

Rockbox Xduoo X3
Sure, but you'll need some kind way of making hidden directories visible - the rockbox folder name has a leading period ( .rockbox ) which by default is invisible in a unix based system like OS X. There's a Terminal command you can use - defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles...- sduck

Rockbox for iBasso DX50 dual boot with stock firmware
Thanks - it seems that the factory reset inside mango just starts the recovery mode version of the same thing. And doesn't mess up rockbox or the dual boot at all. And now mango works! Although I'll probably never use it now anyway. Thanks!- sduck

Rockbox for iBasso DX50 dual boot with stock firmware
I think I found my problem. I use photoshop to resize and flatten out my album art - there's a handy little menu item just for that. I tried unchecking progressive this morning, and files saved that way work again. Woops! Once again, user error. I don't have a working volume up button, so...- sduck

Rockbox Xduoo X3
Just found this thread - it sounds very interesting! I'm a long time rockbox user, and have based my DAP purchasing decisions on whether rockbox can be used on them for a long time. Currently I'm using a iBassso DX50. Has anyone tried this, and have any comparisons between it and this Xduoo X3?- sduck
