Sennheiser IE800 IEM's
I like the cable length too. But I am short :) longer iem cables tend to loop out of my pocket.- Sc00p

iFi audio Pro iDSD (Official) - NEW Firmware - MQA and more.
I guess they are thinking of the people who already own the pro iCan? I will stack the two and will now have a 2.5mm and 3.5mm balanced iem output. It may be easier now, but over the last months I found it hard to acquire a 2.5 to 3.5 balanced adaptor. Only options I could find in the UK where...- Sc00p

ifI iCan Pro - Impressions & Discussion
That would make sense. Unfortunately, i listen to all kinds of music. Natural sounding classical to unnatural electronic dub step. TBH, although 90% of the time i prefer no xbass in the classical, i do sometimes feel it is needed (can look for headphone that gives the bass but then it's too...- Sc00p

ifI iCan Pro - Impressions & Discussion
Whether or not the sound quality is far superior, i haven't heard the V280. The reason I like Ican Pro is it's versatility. For a long time, I went with amps without any bass boost or cross feed features. Didn't like eq. I read so much about how these ruin the sound etc. Tended to have one amp...- Sc00p

Astell & Kern Junior (AK Jr.) Impressions Thread
I recently removed the front screen protector. Now im finding a noticeable difference, with the sensitivity being better now. So with this surprise I did a little more testing and found that the screen is very responsive without the protector and a bone dry finger. In my everyday life, my hands...- Sc00p

You tried the other tips? I tend do find them fatiguing with light bass is I use tips that are too small. With you mentioning about not using iems in the past, you may not be aware of the importance of seal.- Sc00p

I'm going to have to do some blind tests, or maybe my desktop amp is a coloured sound. I never felt like this with my ie80's or sony iem's, and my expectation bias is towards no difference. That's why i said i am surprised that it seems that the 800S sounded better to be from the powerful amp...- Sc00p

I agree, these definitely benefit from a more powerful amp. Sound excellent from my mobile phone, better from the dap and then even better from the desktop amp. I expected a jump from phone to dap, but was a little surprised at the clear difference a desktop amp made. Reading the comment above...- Sc00p

Any ideas on release quarter? Been waiting using the micro idsd bl as my dac, but i take it to and from work/travel and can't wait for the iDSD pro to pair with the amp so i am not reconnecting my home system every day. Thinking of investing in a dac this christmas time, but if the iDSD pro is...- Sc00p

They certainly aren't universal over ear. I have no problem, but i am small. Will depend on your head. However, on the S the lower part of the cable is longer, so if you had a problem with the original reaching your dap when over ear, the S is roughly 6" longer.- Sc00p

My amp has a 3.5mm balanced. But my understanding is that this is rare because the two aren't compatible and plugging in a se into a balanced could cause damage to the amp. So most choose not to use 3.5mm to stop accidents happening... I could be wrong.- Sc00p

I just read someone said that the S sounds more metallic on top when compared to the originals. I don't have the most experience describing sounds, but it caught my eye because I actually had the opposite thought but didnt even know it was a word people use to describe. When I put my originals...- Sc00p

ifI iCan Pro - Impressions & Discussion
Another vote for the iCan + HD800S. When choosing an amp, one of my most important features is the bass boost. For me, the music i listen to half benefits from natural with no bass boost. The other half, probably because it's unnatural sounds to begin with, i much prefer with bass boost and...- Sc00p
