    px200 vs. portapro?

and I LOVE them. Take them to school, listen to them on the bus, in the library, in the computer lab RIGHT next to other people (Pink Floyd, Ataris, Led Zeppelin, etc..) with nary a complaint or even a glance from others. They simply do not leak at ALL. The only problems I ever have with them is...

Underated PCDPs that deserve our attention...

How much do you know about Kenwood PCDP's? I have a DPC-782 that I just found and am curious as to it's line out/headphone quality. Are Kenwood's just mediocre in general, as I've heard a few times around here? Thanks! Oh, and awesome job on that PCDP review. It's a great buying guide. :-)

    Grado Sr-60 vs. Sennheiser HD-497

I don't have an amp, and don't really plan on buying one for a bit. Are they good for rock or more suited for classical?

    Grado Sr-60 vs. Sennheiser HD-497

I'm thinking of getting a pair myself and comparing them to the Sr-60's.... I've heard the 590's are the most "lively" of the Senn's.

Kenwood DPC-782: Anyone else have one?

Just found it lying around in my room. Has a busted cover, but STILL works (thought it was dead long ago). It's got a slick metallic aluminum cover which unfortunately is only connected to the body by flimsy plastic hinges. When I bought it it was top of the line, complete with infrared remote...

    Problem with SR-60's??

After listening to the Grado's for a few weeks, I've noticed that both of the cords coming out of the earpieces move in and out, and whenever I move my head they tend to move around and make an extremely annoying grating noise. Are they supposed to have this kind of play in them? I can probably...

    What to buy... (Headphone newbie)

they're excellent for portable use and have a great sound. Plus, they're (semi) closed so no one can hear your tunes. I also have the Grado 60's, and while they sound better, they're rather awkward and ungainly for portability. (Plus, they probably won't win any style awards. I suppose they may...

Px-200 and SR-60's: Newbie first impressions...

So I've been listening to both of these for a little bit, and while the Grado sound quality is better, the Sennheiser is no slouch. The 60 definitely sounds cleaner and more clear, but the Px has more of an edge or bite (Hard to explain) to it that I like. I can also notice a slight echoing (due...

What was your first headphone purchase after coming to Head-Fi?

Grado 60's, Px-200's, and KSC-35's after using Sony MDR-24's ($9.99 retail). And BOY does my wallet need a break. :-)
