Thank you for your reply, krmathis. I tried this but the flac binary that I have is 1.1.4. I downloaded the 1.2.1 from your webpage, but I am not sure how to replace the old version...

I should also mention that the .m4a file is 8:05 in length instead of 5:23. It is also static-y in Play, not just iTunes. Also the .wav conversion worked fine.

So, I downloaded one of the samples from highdeftapetransfers.com, and I can play it as 24/96 flac in Play, but when I convert with Max to ALAC, I get a lot of static playing over the track in iTunes. What have I done wrong?
