Rockna Wavedream DAC
Hi Alex, I just replied to you over Audiophile style but copying the reply here in case someone else had the same question and are only here on head fi, they would benefit too. Glad you are enjoying the dac, its absolutely phenomenal. I have only heard the signature but I'm sure yours is very...- Saleh84

Rockna Wavedream DAC
Hey Roasty, I just heard the WD signature and that's it! Can't be of help here... But i can vouch for Rockna in general from my own experience. I think it will be a very good dac and high value/performance against similar priced dacs.- Saleh84

Rockna Wavedream DAC
Hey Man, Its an amazing dac indeed. Just couple of days ago i heard it again vs dave in my setup. Dave sounds cleaner as is its sound has been sanitatized with alchol (take than for an analogy, could not find a better one haha). Its very technically capable and maybe its slightly faster, but it...- Saleh84

Rockna Wavedream DAC
Thanks for the confirmation about the wavedream combo, I heard a lot about the effect of adding the NET, and saw on a forum someone saying that the dac without its just "fine", and becomes unbelievable with NET (!). So yes very curious, kind of regret delaying the order till last week )) now i...- Saleh84

Rockna Wavedream DAC
Thanks for the complement! Well, I have played a bit with options, this is what i ended up with: -Input i2s from singxer. Sounded the best on all aspects. More lively and energetic, more detailed. Even larger and more spacious. AES was more polite somehow, but with this kind of purity in sound...- Saleh84

Rockna Wavedream DAC
well, new owner in 2020. it's been a bit more than a month with my Rockna Wavedream signature balanced. all I can say, what an absolute winner of a DAC! I think I have landed my end game here. I got so impressed that I had to register to leave my feedback, as I felt not enough information is...- Saleh84

DENAFRIPS Terminator: the King of R2R dac
I know which forum you are referring to. That is with Terminator old, sluggish and thick sounding DSP, which some still would prefer. In my opinion, it sounded lush and thick, but lack on PRAT and dynamics. DSP2 raised the bar a lot, and now I'm a bit curious what the 3rd revision did.- Saleh84

DENAFRIPS Terminator: the King of R2R dac
Hi All, I've loved my terminator for a year and a half, the 2nd DSP upgrade was a revelation to me, and now seems the 3rd is even better. However with my always present curiosity, I have recently decided to get a Rockna wavedream signature balanced dac. Its almost 4 times the price of Termi, to...- Saleh84

DENAFRIPS Terminator: the King of R2R dac
judging a component from a you tube video could be really misleading, cause of many factors: YouTube audio compression, the mic that has been used, other components of the same system which we may have no clue how they sound, etc. it can give us a hint that's all. the terminator has been my...- Saleh84

DENAFRIPS Terminator: the King of R2R dac
Hi All, sorry to hear you feel the new firmware had a negative effect on the sound. in my system, I felt completely the opposite. the mid range and vocals became better focused and more sweet, highs at times were a tad aggressive, that is gone. i didn't notice an overwhelming increment in bass...- Saleh84

DENAFRIPS Terminator: the King of R2R dac
I did, Recommend you do it. I think it had to do with some bug fixes but it also changes sound a bit in a positive way. Its not as big difference such as old vs new board, but in my case i felt vocals became better, more clear and more separated from rest of the music (obvious change), overall...- Saleh84

Audiophiles in Dubai?
Visit samma3a office, i believe they will negotiate the price if you are buying a pair of decent headphones. The owners are very friendly and approachable people. Would be better than shipping + tax + vat applied to your online purchase from somewhere else in my opinion- Saleh84

Yes you need to remove these two screws fully then slide top cover slightly back then upwards. These two screws are not far sides but closer to middle, one on the left and one on the right, very close to the top of the back panel. Check the instructions that Alvin shared earlier, should be easy...- Saleh84
