Personally, I preferred the HD58X to HD600 (marble), HD650 (Ireland), HD560S, HD400. Unbeatable headphone at that price, for me. Almost same FR graph than the new HD660S2 (see solderdude comparison at diyaudioheaven). At about the same price, or slightly above, I liked the Deva Pro wired very much.

My major problem with the M1570 was that its headband discharges all the weight of the headphone on the center of the head, so a pair of dekoni nuggets sticked on the extreme sides of the headband solved the weight problem for me, by distributing the overall weight on three points over my head...

Don't know if there are many headphones that achieve a big and enveloping soundstage without sarificing somehow tonality. Probably it all depends on your priorities. I have had the Hifiman edition XS and their sounstage was really wide and enjoiable, but tonally wise I prefer the cheaper Deva...

ETA Mini C is a great tool for mixing. Excellent dynamics and tonal balance, translates very well on my speaker system (better than Sennheiser 6XX and many others) and is a closed back, but leaks a bit.

It always surprises me how much individual perception can differ. I have an Eta Mini Closed, and my impression are completely different from yours. I mean, completely. What I hear is a slight emphasis around 1Khz area (not desiderable, but very light and not offending); no lack on 3-4K region...
