I am just worried if the drivers are so fragile it’ll just happen again. I am using the LCD-XC now and will wait a year. The cost of repair can’t be much higher if I waited a year. Meanwhile I’ll look into something else. What a shame.

I don't know we have the same one but my CD doesn't sound bad at all. Based in my research the original CD sounds better than the remaster. Anyway the HD download is 24/44 vs 16/44 of the redbook and sonically I am happy with the HD.

I downloaded HDTracks Black Celebration last night and am listening to it now on the DX90 with LCD-X. The sound is miles ahead of the current issue CD. I highly recommended it. The improvement is worth it.

Depaor, I figured out what I did wrong and all is well now. For one of the affected 24/192 files I converted to ALAC from the original FLAC with XLD so I could change the metadata on iTunes. It was an e-Onkyo download so everything was in Japanese. Apparently that was the problem. I deleted it...
