FYI: I have asked beyerdynamics about the sound leakage to the environment from DT-1770 (velour earpads) and T5p. They answered that they have approximately the same levels (~18dB). But DT-1770 with leather earpads has 21dB suppression.

I checked it out. T5p has better isolation than DT-770 (and except for one peak near 100Hz, even than Alpha Prime). So DT-1770 will leak more? I do not know, can't compare, but if "isolation=leak", T5p and DT-1770 are quite similar. But if you read the previous posts here, people tend to agree...

@MortenB I think the leakage for which you are talking about is the "Ambient noise attenuation" stat? If so, this is more of not hearing what's happening outside and not what the others are hearing from your phones. I'm interested of the later. Thanks for your words and sorry that I can't help...
