[2021 Update] Venture Electronics (VE) Monk V2, Monk Plus & Monk Go: a $5 earbud that taking the world by storm!!!
you guys probably aren't old enough or have been on the thread long enough to remember the old Sennheiser MX400/500, and I'm pretty sure based on what I'm hearing, its the SAME cans... those were at the time, like the KSC-35 the value leaders, but most people did not like the fit. The...- r3cc0s

Martin Logan Mikros 90 On-Ear Headphones
I've been a long time audiophile and this site along with headwize at the time got me into the game... but my last pair of cans' were a set of AKG 701's (pre 702), Grado RS-2s, Senn 580s Sony MDR-V6, Koss KSC-75s (modded) and using a maveric tubedac as source/amp (oh and a AT ANC7b for the...- r3cc0s

Upgrade from Clip for a better EQ
"I" just don't see why you need EQ for anything, whether u use the device as purely a source or to power quality IEMs I have the Denon C700/C751 and lately Shure E310s and I just don't see the need for EQ- r3cc0s

want a player as good as my Shuffle w/ screen & capacity
I've owned a number of mp3 players, raning from Sony S545, nano 2nd gen, iphone 3g, and numerous others (like muvo etc..) @ this point, I'm still using the NANO 2g 4g as its capacity is good, it has a screen and it has the best SQ out of the bunch w/ the exception of the Shuffle. The...- r3cc0s

A penny for your thoughts about noise canceling IEMs...
nc33 is superior to the nc22... I have yet to compare the ATH-AN3 in the same "noisy" environment, but they claim to a a -20db up to 85% across all spectrums where the NC33 is only -10db over 90% When I a/b'd the ANC3 for just SQL, the NC33s sounded all around smoother and better- r3cc0s

A penny for your thoughts about noise canceling IEMs...
The "only" noise cancelling IEM's that I've heard that I liked are the NC33 -- they are based on the new 13.5 vertical drivers from the EX300 series from Sony Peronsally I think they have the same sonic characteristics of the EX300, which have been favorable around here, and it has in-line...- r3cc0s

So when it comes down to "comfort" for me & these cans, I find them the most awkward of the EIMs to fit as compared to EX300/NC33, SK Titans, my buddy's Shure 210es... Its unfortunately and I have tried plenty of tips, but have found the ideal compromise & as stated before, its the med Comply...- r3cc0s

Official Denon AH-C700 Comparisons/Impressions
After much deliberation, I went out & picked up the c751's yesterday & have to say... out of the box, they were very good... with the excpetion of the tips It took me a while to get a good seal, and the Medium "ideally" is the right size, but it takes alot of time to set it in... EX300/EX500 - anyone mod these yet?
like the ex90s? I did a wax filter mod on my NC33 which really worked quite well... they seem very simular to the EX300 w/ the same driver size, accessories and casings, but has different resolution rations... Same w/ the EX500 my friend has, which so incidentially I really enjoyed, but didn't...- r3cc0s
