Just saw that the vented holes are different on the bottom side. I wish that Stax used a better DAC on the updated version of the D50. It can’t cost them that much more to replace the 9018 with 9038 or 9039.

Joking aside I heard the improvements that’s why I went for it and proceed to do more. It isn’t for everybody of course and same thing can be said for capacitors as well. I would not get into this type of modifications unless you can perform the work yourself as cost could be unreasonable...

Are you saying that you like the DX340 just much as the DMP? I am just curious on what do you find the DX340 to be better?

Disagree in what ground? I have DMP, DX340, DX320 max and D16 and PB5. I have to disclose that my DMP is not stock given the internal wiring have been upgraded to Neotech silver and gold wires.
