It is correct, I tried jamming it and it doesn't help. I know for sure the earphones aren't any problem because it works fine when just plugged to the clip.

Yes and yes. The lights are fine, but the amp just won't transfer ANY sound on to my device. Not even controlling with the volume control and bass switch.
