I just couldn't pull the trigger on the DX 50 the other nite . I've done the research(read reviews / unboxing vids etc...) on the product and fell in love , BUT when Headfonia's review basically had told us that there unit COULD NOT be used as a Universal Serial Bus DAC Due to bugs I flinched ...

Agreed ... I should of titled this thread in a way referring to high fidelity daps. Ak/Cow/X5 etc ..

my research into the dap world has brought me to a somewhat interesting crossroad . Is there a solid dap UI out there that isn't going to cost you an arm and a leg. Would think many people would find this thread a useful tool before a DAP purchase

I'm thinking the island and the c5D are on a another level compared to the E17 , I'm saying this with no dislike to the FIIO Product matter of fact I'd like to purchase the e17 when I have the funds to do so .

I think that is a great question, would love to know that answer if anyone owns the E17 or Island?

I do not own the product your asking about , would not want to comment on the performance of an item I'm not familiar with .

I searched Google far and wide to try and find that link for you.. no luck. Went to headphones as well and Looked at their C5D review to see if it was embedded in there.

Would you mind telling me what interconnect you use between your iphone 6 and the C5D?  Also why/how you bought the JDS Labs C5D and not one of the countless other portable amp/dacs out there.
