my research into the dap world has brought me to a somewhat interesting crossroad . Is there a solid dap UI out there that isn't going to cost you an arm and a leg. Would think many people would find this thread a useful tool before a DAP purchase

I'm thinking the island and the c5D are on a another level compared to the E17 , I'm saying this with no dislike to the FIIO Product matter of fact I'd like to purchase the e17 when I have the funds to do so .

I think that is a great question, would love to know that answer if anyone owns the E17 or Island?

 Hello. Was lucky enough to attain a pair of HifiMan HE-500's, currently running ipod touch + Fiio E12 , anyone else heard this setup or feel the E12 can drive the 500's effectively. Also just to put it out there , i feel the bass boost is fantastic on the E12.
