WEE - new product from Woo Audio

I like using this amp with the Lambda Pro and HE60: https://www.parts-express.com/lepai-lp-2024a-2x15w-tripath-ta2024-hi-fi-audio-stereo-power-amplifier-with-3a-power-suppl--310-296

No, most dynamic headphone amps will not have have enough power.  Woo Audio suggests using the Wee with amps that are rated at least 3W of power (they don't say into what load, but I would guess 8-ohm).  You may want an even more powerful amp depending on what earspeakers you are driving and how...

WEE - new product from Woo Audio

As I understand it the transformer is an inductive load while the earspeakers are a variable capacitive load.   I haven't used the Benchmark but if the specs are accurate then it should have plenty of power even into difficult loads.

I agree, Hifiman has come a long way both in sound and comfort.

Todd, you could buy some extra binding posts for the stereo version and wire them up to the different transformer taps.   The Seductor is spec'd at 4W for the stereo version, while the Stereomour II is listed as 3.5, what 4-ohm speakers are you planning to drive with the Seductor?   Feel...

WEE - new product from Woo Audio

Todd, if you build monoblocs you now have 4 binding posts per channel; one for ground, and three others you can solder to the various output taps ex. 4 Ohm, 8 Ohm, 16 Ohm.  Having twice the power is nice too :)

I'd suggest holding out for a SRM-T1 or Woo GES for your Lambdas if you want a stand alone STAX amp.  I'm not a big fan of the recent STAX brand solid state amps.

STAX SRS-2050II Basic System vs. Koss ESP/950 vs. HD600 w/Dynalo

Quote: I only suggested the DT880 because you asked for a neutral headphone.  I'm guessing that you want a headphone that has a slight bass rise, but is not super-heavy bloated.   Quote: The GES is only marginally good enough for the SR-007 but it works great with Lambdas.  ...

STAX SRS-2050II Basic System vs. Koss ESP/950 vs. HD600 w/Dynalo

Quote: Yes, but they sit on your ears, not around them like my HE60.     Quote: If you want something neutral try the DT-880.  The SR-X MkIII Pro is suppose to be neutral but I have only heard the normal bias version.   If you want bass impact just get some Darth...

STAX SRS-2050II Basic System vs. Koss ESP/950 vs. HD600 w/Dynalo

Quote: The other earspeakers also improve with system improvements particularly the Koss ESP which benefit from amp/transformer upgrades.  The stock system is lacking.   My Lambda Pros are a little bit light in bass impact but I still love them.  The SR-007 is unimpressive with the...

Corbin seats are a good bit more firm than Sargent.  Either is a major improvement over stock though.
