Do not judge the he60 by the hev70 - no greater mismatch in headphones and amp has ever been created.   Get a decent stat amp, and you will immediately see the difference, and likely never turn back. I was an original fan of the hd600, and moved to he60 and hd800. The he60 stayed, the hd800...

Ok, here we go... and it does (kinda) look like this is a glued part, but the joint has zero structural integrity. Amazing Senn refuses to reglue this, and it is a $170 penalty to buy another.

Knocked a pair of HD800 off a table, about 30" to a carpeted floor, and it separated the plastic / molded rubber / heatshrink / plastic from the metal ODU connector. Both sides look to be flush surfaces, but the same diameter, so I just can't figure out how this was attached, much less how to...

Yeah, i replaced the earpads and headband a few years back on the he60, but if beyer can use leather... geez. Maybe the NEW Senn stats will have leather. ;-) Just fanning the non-existent flames.
