    Sennheiser MOMENTUM True Wireless 4

Thanks for Techincs reccomendation. Will keep an eye on those. One other thing I would also like to comment. I own MTW3 and I bought them in September ‘23. I find them more refined and somehow in a piece and musically satisying sounded more than other BT earbuds I tried, but I wasn’t totally...

I must say that I ended up selling my MTW4. At first, they seemed to be an upgrade regarding more bass definition, altough still a bit congested sounded like MTW3. When I listened to them more and more, I find guitars peaks to be a bit to edgy and bass is thunderous and much louder than other...

I am not sure if good app even exist until now. I talk about headphone companies apps. Only 3rd party player apps and there are few very good ones like Vox or Onkyo for example, but if you want to change sound to your liking, you are locked because default tuning which comes from physical and...

Ah, forgot to turn off bass boost. All perfectly fine now.

Hm, whatever I do regarding bass in Sound personalization, bass is way too prominent and out of balance loud and hard hitting. It’s pitches provide some distraction. I set bass to lowest setting at each step where possible, but not much luck. It simply force you to follow bass and everything...

    Sennheiser MOMENTUM True Wireless 4

I took the plunge and bought them today. Out of the box I find MTW 4 to be better than MTW 3 which I also own. Midbass is more firm and together with mids gives more defined sound. Separation is also a bit better than on previous model which makes a newer one more exciting listen. From what I...

I would appreciate if someone can comment did MTW 4 have shrill heights. I just turn back Sony XM5 as the are way edgy and bright. I own MTW 3, but I found them to be soft and heights are relatively shy so hopefully MTW 4 are just about right, but some reviews says they can be shrill, so not...

    Sony WF-1000XM5

Today evening there is definitive improvement. They need some time to come on song. I start to like them.

    Sony WF-1000XM5

You are right regarding older models sound. Reviews of new model says that it’s sound wasn’t rich anymore. It could be that what I hear. Way too shallow and tight harmonically. Exciting it is I can confirm for sure, but shrill to the max.

    Sony WF-1000XM5

Most probably. Hopefully they will sound more relaxed and textured after some time, but somehow I don’t believe.

    Sony WF-1000XM5

Thanks. Tried that with EQ, but no luck. It is their core sound. Everything sounds forced, edgy and way too tight… and I like tight and grippy sound, but this is way too much. Do they mellow out a bit after some hours?

    Sony WF-1000XM5

Thanks TooFrank. Further listening shows me that I don’t like so tight and brittle character they have. I prefer more layered and relaxed, but yet dynamic presentation. I tried silicone tips, but cannot remember who made them and that edge is still there.

Thank you, but unfortunatelly did not help. Guitars are stil way sharp and with pronounced edge.

    Sony WF-1000XM5

Hi, bought WF-1000XM5 today in order to replace Senn MTW3 because I would like more livelier sound, but no matter how I tune WF-1000XM5 sound in their app, they sound pretty edgy to me. Is there some chance that they would after some hours start to sound more relaxed? Thanks

I find them to have very hollow and sluggish midrange just like TWS3.
