    A very simple question

A friend of mine is looking for some headphones, I know there is a thread on the forums with a lot of headphones in comparison (about 50?) I would like to ask you if you know the thread where all those headphones are compared.   Thanks =)

    Audigy 2 compatiblity

Thanks for your reply, There are quite a few Audigy 2's for sale on 2nd hand sites. Since I don't want to spend to much money, the Audigy's seem pretty good quality for that price.

    Audigy 2 compatiblity

Hey Head-fiers,   Since I've got a new computer without a soundcard I would like to get a proper soundcard. I've been looking for the Audigy 2 soundcards. But I've got one problem, how do I know it's compatible with my Motherboard? The motherboard I"m using is the GA-790FXTA-UD5.   And...

    Sony MDR-XB500 vs Sony MDR-XB700

Thanks a lot! Haha, I bet the XB1000 will be awesome. I'll wait with asking the XB700 for my birthday, haha. I hope the XB1000 will be released soon so that we can all hear what it's like and if it is worth the top spot in the XB line.

    Sony MDR-XB500 vs Sony MDR-XB700

Quote:   Will the Sony HST-471 or the Grundig V4200 have enough power to give the xb700 enough power? I hope one of them does!

    Sony MDR-XB500 vs Sony MDR-XB700

I don't really think the XB500 is "uncomfortable", but I haven't compared it to the XB700. I might ask the XB700 for my birthday, haven't got enough power to make the XB700 better than the XB500 atm anyway. Also, I use my iPod a lot because I travel a lot, I think the XB500 is better straight...

    Sony MDR-XB500 vs Sony MDR-XB700

Hmm.. sounds worth looking into a bit more. Do sound cards grant a lot better SQ than the usual comp output?   I think Snow Patrol is awesome! One of my favourite bands. The song "Run" is very good, especially when you compare it to the version Leona Lewis sang. The original is just better...

    Sony MDR-XB500 vs Sony MDR-XB700

I turned the preamp slider down a bit already, the 250Hz does make quite a big difference. Turning it up a lot makes the voices a lot warmer but more unreal, turning it down makes the voices a lot colder but more real. Especially when listening to Snow Patrol the difference is quite big.  ...

    Sony MDR-XB500 vs Sony MDR-XB700

Not noticing any distortion atm, I'm going to make an XB500 EQ for some different music genres I guess. Listening to Coldplay now and I love the way it sounds, just as nice as my sony stereo set, but now I don't upset my neighbours. Do you've got a more aggressive EQ setting suitable for Dance...

    Sony MDR-XB500 vs Sony MDR-XB700

I'm using my computer atm, going to check out my sony amp when my jack extension piece is in. I'm using the iTunes software EQ atm with these settings:

    Sony MDR-XB500 vs Sony MDR-XB700

And the XB500 is in! Love it, gonna try EQing it to my likes. I really don't know where to find a hardware EQ though.. Never needed it before, anyone that can help me?

    Sony MDR-XB500 vs Sony MDR-XB700

Quote: I'll see it for myself I guess, I just hope they fit well. I heard that the XB700's are made of more rigid materials (aluminium and such), the XB500's don't form any cracks or stuff like that?   Thanks for answering all my questions btw, appreciate that!

    Sony MDR-XB500 vs Sony MDR-XB700

My XB500 still isn't in.. takes way too long. Good thing is, if I don't like the comfort of the XB500 I can always bring them back and pay a bit more to get the XB700's. But still I'm waiting for the XB500's now!
