Philips Fidelio X3
Price 3990 SEK (~450 USD)(same as my earlier post from webhallen), with a (specifically stated) unconfirmed delivery date of 12th of September. This price includes Swedish VAT (25%), so US equivalent price would be roughly $360 w/o VAT. Specs you might find interesting (taken from Komplett)...- octanitrocubane

Philips Fidelio X3
Looks like the release is in august based on this swedish shopping site, webhallen is quite large in Sweden so it's likely that this is correct: https://www.webhallen.com/se/product/317745-Philips-Fidelio-X3-tradbundna-over-ear-horlurar-med-oppen-baksida-Svart Price: 4000 SEK, currently that is...- octanitrocubane

Replacement for Fidelio X2 (Budget $500)
Thanks for the recommendation, but based on reviews it's quite creaky in terms of construction, and quite tight on the head. I would rather spend a bit more and get something with a more solid and comfy build, anything you can recommend for that?- octanitrocubane

Replacement for Fidelio X2 (Budget $500)
Hi, My pair of Fidelio X2 have unfortunately started to break (ear cushions are falling to pieces, glued stuck as far as I can tell and thus can't easily be replaced), and therefore I figure this might be a good opportunity for me to upgrade a bit. I've been very happy with the fit and sound...- octanitrocubane

Allround headset (budget max $300)
Afraid the Fidelio are about a $100 out of budget in europe, otherwise they seemed like they would have been very interesting. I'm definitely gonna see if I can find somewhere to try out the 990's though, they might be interesting, as long as the bass isn't to overpowering. Thanks! ...- octanitrocubane

Allround headset (budget max $300)
Hi, I'm currently considering getting a new headset which will be used for gaming, movies and music(mostly stuff from the monstercat channel). The headset will be used for up to 15 hours a day (I am a programming student), and as such have to be very comfortable. My head is relatively small, I...- octanitrocubane

SUPRA Headphones - NITRO & HALO
I'm afraid I have not been able to try any of the products you mentioned, other than some of the CX line-up (which didn't even come close to the sound quality of the nitro, nor the same feeling of quality), and I did consider the S4, but I decided against them after reading some reviews. SUPRA Headphones - NITRO & HALO
Just thought I'd give you an update with my thoughts sofar (I'm comparing to Sennheiser Momentum and Denon AH 560R): -More base heavy than the Momentum, but still very clear in terms of sound (I listen to mostly EDM using the S3 if that helps) -Cable noise isn't brilliant, but leagues ahead of... -
SUPRA Headphones - NITRO & HALO
Just thought I'd let you know I've purchased the Nitro's and after letting them burn in (according to how the manual recommends: 4 hours on, 2 hours off, 2 hours on and then 2 hours off and then you're apparently good to go), I can say that they seem pretty good, I might do a quick review after... -
SUPRA Headphones - NITRO & HALO
Doesn't look like it's the same if you compare the specs, the frequency response for OM is 20Hz-20kHz whilst the supra are 16Hz-22kHz, and the supra have a 9mm driver whilst the OM have a 10mm driver. -
Sport inears for running and skiing ($80)
My old pair of Denon AH-C560R inears have given up on me, so I was thinking about getting a proper pair of sport in-ears this time. I'm currently looking at the Sennheiser CX 685, so I was wondering if someone had any experience with them, and what alternatives there are in roughly the same...- octanitrocubane

Headphones to combine with ASUS Xonar U7
I am considering upgrading my stationary rig from my current setup (Razer Megalodon), since now that I have upgraded my mobile rig I do not want a lesser sounding stationary rig. Sadly I do not have room for a internal sound card, therefore I have decided upon getting the ASUS Xonar U7 USB sound...- octanitrocubane

USB-soundcard capable of simulating 7.1 (using Sennheiser Momentum headphones), or all-in-1 set?
Quote: I can find it for around $110(CHF) where I live, which I'm ok with, but are there any other options in the same price range? And how do USB-soundcards compare to PCI-soundcards?- octanitrocubane

USB-soundcard capable of simulating 7.1 (using Sennheiser Momentum headphones), or all-in-1 set?
Quote: Thank you, I looked at it and noticed the Xonar U7 USB instead, but I couldn't find a lot of reviews for it. The U7 looks to me like it is a little better in general, or am I wrong?- octanitrocubane
