Workhorse Headphones - Repairable - Inexpensive - Recommendations?

I really need to take a listen to some Beyers, just for my personal knowledge. We have three Beyer DT290 headsets for remote broadcasting, but these are not for general listening. I have also been looking at the Sony MDR-V6 and the Audio-Technica ATH-M30, but the small exposed wires for each...

Workhorse Headphones - Repairable - Inexpensive - Recommendations?

I am the chief engineer of a college radio station, and I am looking for a new workhorse headphone for our on-air studio. For the past few years we have used Sennheiser HD-202s, but these simply do not last in this environment. I have been looking at the Sennheiser HD-205s, but many reviews...

    Velour/Felt Pads for ATH-M50?

After further listening, I do believe there is a slight change in sound quality. I can't put my finger on it, and it is not negative in any way. The big thing I was worried about was the bass, but it remains very strong. I could do some comparisons, but I really cannot stress how much I hated...

Which full-size headphones can be compared to UE super.fi 5 pro?

You can get the comply tips from amazon, which is what I did. $15 for 3 sets. I don't know what kind of foam tips your sf5s came with, but the ones with my sf3s were awful (hard) and very uncomfortable -- although, I don't remember them being loose. Also, you won't get any replies asking...

Which full-size headphones can be compared to UE super.fi 5 pro?

While not a direct response to your question, have you tried Comply foam tips for your super.fi 5s? I was thoroughly unimpressed by the comfort of my super.fi 3s until I tried the Comply tips. They are now my (almost) daily use IEMs.

AD500 vs AD700? (looking for advice)

I have been looking at trying an open can for a while, and the AD700 has been at the top of my list. I haven't really looked at the AKG K240, but I see that they are semi open. Are they truer to closed or open headphones?
