$100 bluetooth earbuds for use when running/dancing
Budget is $100ish with some wiggle room. I mostly listen to electronic music when doing these activities, especially hard dance in general (hardcore/hardstyle primarily) and to a lesser degree techno so looking for something that makes those genres sound good. Can be earbuds or IEMs, main...- NoxNoctum

Bluetooth earbuds/IEMs that won't fall out when running/working out
Main kind of music I listen to is various kinds of rock/black metal. Looking for something that gives distorted electric guitar an "edge" especially and tolerates rough production jobs (black metal recordings for instance) while still having some bass. But most important is that the distorted...- NoxNoctum

Audeze LCD-2 Impressions Thread
Hey guys, my DAC stopped working (I'm 90% sure it's my PC that's the issue though) so I don't have access to anything that requires an amp atm, but I'm curious, how do the LCD-2s do with bass heavy EDM? I recently got into neurofunk (type of dnb) in a big way and I am wondering how it will sound...- NoxNoctum

Looking for comfy bluetooth earbuds/IEMs
Primary purpose is to use with my Switch while in handheld mode. Needs to be comfortable to wear for extended periods of time (like in my bed right before I nod off). Budget of around $100. Music wise, ideally something that makes rock/punk/black metal shine as those the genres I listen to the most.- NoxNoctum

Bluetooth capable Earbuds or IEMs for ~$100 or less
Will primarily be using them for rock and metal. The guitar having enough "edge" is super important to me, some high end over-ear HPs have disappointed me in this area in the past. Basically I need really lively treble.- NoxNoctum

Audeze LCD-2 Impressions Thread
This is a bit random but has anyone weighed their LCD-2 in their case + cardboard box? I'm selling mine on ebay and don't have a scale. Trying to give shipping cost estimate to interested buyers...- NoxNoctum

Is playing my Grado SR325i HPs through my Schiit Lyr 1 (the original, without the low gain switch) risky? Can I blow them out? Or will I blow my ears out before the HPs?- NoxNoctum

Headphones for metal music - ultimate solution
Ok I'd say $200-300 though I can go over if there is a big bump in quality. Are saying almost all of them have some degree of noise isolation? This is for the workplace so ideally I want something that blocks out sound as little as possible so I can hear my colleagues. Thanks!- NoxNoctum

Headphones for metal music - ultimate solution
Hey guys I know this thread is for HPs but can any of you recommend some earbuds or IEMs that are good for BM (i.e. tolerant to rough production but not by burying the treble)? Needs to not be noise cancelling. Budget is flexible.- NoxNoctum

Headphones for metal music - ultimate solution
Are there any big black metal and/or punk fans in here? I'm happy with my setup but wonder if I could sell some of my equipment for a better BM experience. My main go-to for black metal are my HD595s and Schiit Lyr via Schiit Gungnir (or Bifrost when travelling). I also have LCD-2s, 2fs, and 3fs...- NoxNoctum

Need noise-cancelling earbuds for audiobooks only
Yeah I guess IEMs are ok, my only concern is I've heard it's bad to wear them more than an hour a day. This will probably just be for air travel, you brought up a good point liquidzoo.- NoxNoctum

Need noise-cancelling earbuds for audiobooks only
This is purely for use in my car and for air travel. Basically I want enough noise cancelling that I don't have to up the volume significantly when driving but not so much that I'm totally oblivious to the outside world. I won't be listening to music at all so that's not a factor, only...- NoxNoctum

Headphones for metal music - ultimate solution
I'm going to try to post some detailed thoughts on them later on, in a head-to-head with my LCD2.2s and HE-6 but just wanted to throw up some quick feedback as well. Just got a pair of AKG K240 Sextetts (EP version) and so far my impression is that these things are ******* amazing for metal or...- NoxNoctum

Grado Fan Club!
Need some advice -- I've got a pair of of SR325i that took me a while to find/buy but I do not have a low impedance amp at the moment. Am I risking it using my Lyr (not the version with the gain switch)? I'm listening to it right now and have the dial on a very low position -- am I still putting...- NoxNoctum
