Sony DEJ925 charging problem...
I had this happen to me the other day too (same unit - 925). I just played a cd until the 'lobatt' warning came on again and then restarted the charge cycle. This seemed to fix things up. I'd seriously consider getting one of the cheaper Sony NE units (e.g. NE300) that use AA size batteries -...- neb

Are the Sony MP3 CD players restricted in any way?
Hi, I was looking at getting a Sony NE900 CD player for playing my own MP3 cds. I've got an old Sony EJ925 and I'm not expecting the sound to be any better than that unit - what I'm more interested in is it's ability to play mp3 files. Are there any restrictions in what type of mp3 files...- neb

Sony MD Inquiry
Quote: Originally posted by Superbaldguy I'm not surprised your N505 did not prove to be reliable. Afterall, it is one of the cheapest MD recorders on the market. However, if you upgrade to the N1 as suggested, you'll be getting a *much* better unit. I don't think the difference...- neb

Recharging the EJ 925
You just need the appropriate ac adapter to plug into the cd player itself - the player does the charging. The lid is actually die cast magnesium, the rest of the body is plastic. Ben- neb

Sony D-EJ985 and D-EJ885
I wouldn't get your hopes up. Sony don't seem to be doing much R&D on the cd player side of things. There is less competition and higher profits to be made on the md scene - especially in Japan. Neb.- neb

What kind of portable will get you the best sound w/o amp?
I don't use an amp. What I've found though is my portable MD unit (R900) sounds better than my portable CD unit (D-EJ925) for probably the reasons stated by others here - better DAC. Mind you, the mega bass on the CD units very poorly done which does not help. Of the newest cd players the...- neb

D-EJ1000 skipping...
Is your battery low? I've found with the 925 that on certain discs when the power is running low (but certainly not empty i.e. one or even two bars left) it will skip. Connecting the power adapter immediately fixes the problem. Neb- neb

happy new dej725 owner ...

Remote light on Sony D-EJ925?
Hi, When running the 925 on mains power the backlight on the remote stays on permanently - I believe it's possible to turn it off via some button pressing combination. Does anyone know what it is? (I bought the unit second hand so I don't own the manual) Thanks, Neb- neb

Koss (S)PortaPros vs Grado 60
Hi, I'm not overly impressed with the Grado 60's for the current crop of portable cd/md units (they won't even plug into the remote for a start!). Headroom recommend the Koss Portapros as good, (relatively) cheap headphones with great sound. Has anybody got/heard both and can give me an...- neb

sony 915/825/725/925/1000
Having owned a 725 and now 925 I can say the 925 can sound alright with the right headphones. I'm using the Sony 888 earbuds with it and they're a pretty good match. The 725 is actually pretty good. It's got an lcd on the unit, uses standard batteries and reasonable build quality. I only...- neb
