for the isolation is a must for my consideration for choosing a pair of cans. And for the need of amp,i'm not really sure, but most of the audiophile (i call them audiophile coz they are very into head-fi and have long listening eperience background) i know, they all recommend me to buy an amp...- mychew

oh yeah blessing, but anyway, i would get an amp first for my DVD player at home, and for headphone, i would love to upgrade it,but as i just bought my 202 lately therefore i'm not planning to upgrade my cans. So maybe get an amp first?And i might use it to audit various cans outside as i think...- mychew

AS i mentioned above...is it worthwhile for me to go for it?as i'm only using a laptop as my source and using Senn HD 202. And can anyonee tell me more about what PPA is?and howit works? yup...i have it. thanks for showing me the picture i think i should try it out when i go back to my hometown.. can tell u, not many ppl in my hometown would wear headphone out in the street and many of them go for Sony, because they just simply think that Sony produce nice stuff compare to...- mychew

wallijonn I did have a receiver,but for me,now i'm living outside and therefore definitely are not carrying along with me. Maybe when i go back to my hometown i can give it a try. that's what i think so. because he's just doing the work of repairing audio devices and know how to make an amp.I don't really think that he is sort of audiophile of head-fi. Sorry, i forgot to mention about the amp that the boss recommend to me, it's a portable amp.- mychew

what's the different between L-shape headphone jack and straight jack?
yup...i tried many way to try out the differences between L-shape and Straight jack...obviously, i can say that it's really like what u all told me before--no difference as for gold plated jack and nikel plated jack, i cant really hear it out using my cans.I borrow my fren's Panasonic...- mychew

i also think so...i think we can forget about getting details from him. he only know how to say someting like..."crap headphones","i don't know, it's just a lousy headphone". i heard from him that the cans sucks and cant satisfied him. i ask him to describe a little bit more..he can't...i tell...- mychew

tell u one thing, my fren got a panasonic can, but i don't really remember the model now..if i'm not wrong the can has an impedance of 35 Ohm, he complained that he can hear the hissing sound in the background...i think maybe the device he use is not able to drive it well?coz he's using a CD...- mychew
