There are more people like myself that have had no problems with the streamer or any ifi audio equipment. Those with problems are more likely to post about them than those that have zero problems.

I am on the latest firmware and it is still ifi.local. Ifi-ifizen.local does not work for me.

Zen Stream is great in my home gym. It was a great addition to my iFi DAC.

Put in a ticket with iFi as one should have been included. Where did you buy it? If Amazon, they will make it right and send you a replacement.

Just remember to reset your sound source back to USB, if that is what you use, after you update.
