Do you mind sharing how's the T1+3X pairing (SE? Balanced?)? That's the amp I'm considering for my T1s. Now Playing: PC -> DAC1 -> ED8EX And this ⬇️⬇️⬇️. At higher volumes Ultrasones must have some kind of a bone conducting driver :D :D :D

Last thing I would say about the Benchmark is that it's warm (I got it probably 11 years ago). But the last paragraph pretty much sums up my "DAC1-with-Beyerdynamic-T1v2" experience. With the jumpers - loud enough, but they sounded warm, bordering on "fuzzy", even. With the jumpers removed...

How are those Hedds with the DAC1? Did you have to remove the gain jumpers to drive them nicely?

Saturday chill, UAPP > ALO Pilot > KXXS with a brand new Kinera Leyding cable (this one is seriously a gem at ~70EUR). Rocking new White Dog album, pure quality, just like any other album from Rise Above.

^This. Had 900's years ago and they were great with trance and similar stuff. Right now Signature Pure seems to be a strong contender in this price range, haven't heard them, though.

Maybe just the filters got clogged a bit. Had it in my Moondrops - slightly lower volume in the right piece, replaced the filters and they're all good again.

Back to full-size headphone game after 8 or so years :). Last pair I had before going IEM-only were PRO900's. Loved them so much that I knew that returning to Ultrasone was a no-brainer. Got those locally at a great price and I'm back to the game :3.

I listened to them briefly at e-earphone in Tokyo last week. I thought I had my mind set on upgrading my old (and now dead) Westone 4R to W80 but these A8000's are STELLAR. Granted I only had an iPhone with me, but the sound was terrific enough :).

Your DVD's output doesn't downmix the 5.1 movie audio track to stereo. V-DAC is a stereo DAC, so any attempt to play multichannel content through it will result in noise/clicks.

Have you considered IEMs? Since I got my Senn's IE8 I need no other phone for electronics, and for dubstep they are simply _fantastic_.

Simple search gave me at least 5 useful threads   Anyway - I can give you a rough comparison against ES7 as I have owned both of them. In few words - similar, but better in every department. If you have/like ES7's, you can't go wrong with ES10's. You may also want to try ESW9, IMO not a big...

IMO both are built like tanks (ES10 slightly better). Seriously, I don't imagine how somebody can break any of those just by using them. I had ESW9s for ~year, carried them in my backpack only in their pouch and when I was selling them there was not a slightest damage done to them.

I'm almost set on those, but I have two questions to current JH5 owners: 1. Can someone who has experience with Sennheiser IE8 or ATH-ESW9 or ES10 can somehow relate the signature of JH5 to them? 2. Custom art - how well is it made? I have some customization ideas but if the art wears off...
