    Recommendations for $50 IEMs

Thanks for the recommendations, I have looked at some KZ stuff, wasn't sure how they all sounded though I'd heard good things, and might consider them...but as said the profile/size may be a bit much. Part of the problem is I'm often carrying a 10k mAh battery pack for my phone, so pocket space...

    Recommendations for $50 IEMs

So I bit the bullet on the release of the Massdrop x Hifiman Bolt, and I might have been one of the absolute few who actually liked it. Anyways this really isn't about what so much of the people out there hate about the Bolt, it's a starting point for what I'm looking for. I'm trying to find...

JVC HAR-X700 and 900. Two of the best dynamics? Am I nuts?

Yes, they're removable, though it has been ages since I did it. Easy way to tell(if unsure) is to see if you can purchase replacement pads from the manufacturer, that's generally a sign that they can be easily removed. Though if your only problem with them is how thin they are, a very easy fix...

    Beyerdynamic Slide Repair

I used 3dhubs.com, the person I found to print wasn't literally local, but maybe about an hour's drive away. They were also rather well rated on 3dhubs. Selecting a "hub" on there does decide what materials you can print with as it depends on what the person has for filament. If you don't...

    Beyerdynamic Slide Repair

The texture on the sides(with the R and L) isn't as noticeable if you don't catch the light on it at an angle like that, and feels smooth to the touch. That orange is also a pinch more orange than it looks in the picture, but very much has more of a texture to it as you can see in the pic. I'm...

    Beyerdynamic Slide Repair

Well I just got a couple pairs through a somewhat local printer on 3DHubs since my replacements from Beyerdynamics already cracked fully through even though they were still working. Got it done in ABS, and they do add some pressure on the sides of my head but where the padding is still there on...

    [site feature]Acronym translator

So I've been involved in multiple forums that have their own set of acronyms everyone is expected to just know, but not everyone does, and everyone who is new has to learn this new set of acronyms. Even after all these years of being a head-fi member, today I found one here which I wasn't quite...

    Beyerdynamic Slide Repair

Where did someone say that? Just curious as I looked at the tinkercad and thingiverse, and saw nothing posted there about it.

    Beyerdynamic Slide Repair

I know this is an old post, but in case anyone else comes by and hasn't found this yet, I figured I'd throw this link here(below). It looks like it's the same thing, and I believe they have 3 options to choose from that use different methods, one I believe uses community based printing. I...

Ghentaudio Cables - Impressions & Opinions. (First impressions & pictures in!)

Well in that case it might. I was thinking of the modibit and magni 2 uber(what I have) as they're on the same side of the box, so it works great as a stack, but adds distance when next to each other. Which is too bad, as I'm now covering up the multibit M, maybe someday I'll buy some longer...

Ghentaudio Cables - Impressions & Opinions. (First impressions & pictures in!)

I have the A01 7", and they're only long enough for a stack, the length is end of connector to end of connector. In fact, the picture you see on the page for the A01 with the M&M stack shows the 7" cables in use. Schiit's Pyst RCA cables are apparently 6", thought that is excluding connectors...

Ghentaudio Cables - Impressions & Opinions. (First impressions & pictures in!)

The ferrite core is supposed to help prevent interference, and I know people have found usb power to cause interference...to the point that even motherboard manufacturer ASUS has offered boards with a special USB audio plug on the back that is supposed to reduce or eliminate noise that could...

Ghentaudio Cables - Impressions & Opinions. (First impressions & pictures in!)

I would say go with the U04, though according to his site, it isn't compatible with windows 8 or 8.1 which I don't even know how that's possible...I mean it's a USB cable, and as long as it supports 2.0 or above I can't see how it isn't supported by newer windows OS's than 7. Back to the choice...
