    Hifiman IEM's: RE-400 and RE-600

I can say from experience that it's hit or miss with the slider piece, as I've had 2 pair of RE-400, I've demoed an RE-600 and tried another RE-400 at a meet.  Of the two I have, one stays better than the other but none have been perfect.  The RE-600's slider is coated like the driver housing so...

Rockbox for iBasso DX50 dual boot with stock firmware

True, my fault, we shall take it to PM...I do recall you mentioning it some time back anyway in a past discussion.  It's kind of a parallel if you think about it, since Rockbox is what I'd call an 'upgrade' FW, why not have 'upgraded' hardware to go along with it?    Agreed - even with...

Rockbox for iBasso DX50 dual boot with stock firmware

Would the 49710 fit in the chassis?  I think they are kind of big, but if you have a picture of a post-modified unit I'd love to see it!  I think upgrading the capacitors would be most beneficial though

    Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)

My ZA Tenore just came in, initial impressions are positive...more details to come of course when I've had some time to analyze and compare

    Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)

Marketing...it is perplexing to those who are informed lol but it makes sense, it's 100% marketing.

    Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)

Ya sorry not to clarify but will be with the RE-400 most likely, and also with the SteelSeries Flux which is similarly priced.

    Multi-IEM Review - 352 IEMs compared (Pump Audio Earphones added 04/03/16 p. 1106)

I actually just ordered these the other day and they should arrive sometime next week, so I'll be writing up a little comparison at some point.  People kept suggesting them in various threads so I had to see for myself

Hello, I need some help and advice in In-Ear Headphones

I saw you had posted in Joker's Multi IEM thread.  I think the best place to start would be his earphone buyer's guide where he highlights some details of the different commonly found signatures in a variety of prices ranges and groups them accordingly:  ...

HiFiman HE-500 (HE as in High End) Proving to be an enjoyable experience in listening.

There is a known issue with the TRS end of the stock SPC cables (a friend of mine had problems with his too) and it's just a QC/manufacturing issue.  I agree with Thurston though, a fairly simple remedy is to do a little DIY and re-terminate with a new TRS jack which you can reinforce so long as...

    Hifiman IEM's: RE-400 and RE-600

That is one I really need to hear, as it seems the more recent Zero Audio models (this one in particular) are gaining some traction and popularity as being a big bang for buck.  I know Inks likes the Tenore and I trust his opinion, plus they seem to measure quite well:  ...

    Hifiman IEM's: RE-400 and RE-600

In that price-range for that criteria there's the Vsonic GR07 Classic, which are currently $100.  They'll be a bit bassier and a bit more sparkly, but have a tendency to emphasize sibilance in recordings (I didn't like that trait myself but others are OK with it).  The Vsonic is still quite...

    Hifiman IEM's: RE-400 and RE-600

If you're using medium size tips, try the small double-flange tips that come with the RE-400 (I think they come pre-installed) as those have the most narrow bore.  Those are kind of designed for a relatively shallow fit, but even if they're not the most comfortable, see if that makes a positive...
