HeadAmp Pico Portable Amp (w/ optional upsampling 24/96 USB DAC) Pre-Order Thread
Justin, Please cancel this order if it is not too much trouble (i.e. someone else on the list can be sent this same configuration)... Since I have not heard anything in the thread, pre-order list or email, I'll assume it wasn't started yet. Please put me down for a black Pico with DAC...- mjb

Linux Help
if you go into the "software sources" admin dialog, you can select the "universe", "multiverse" and "backports" repositories... you'll find most stuff you need in those. also, make sure you check out "medibuntu" for additional codecs/apps. the directions/public key for it, you'll find...- mjb

Computer > ? > KSC-75
this suggestion may or may not help...but i would personally sell the tomahawk and get a predator or pico. basically, you then have something as portable as the tomahawk (a little bigger though), which is both a portable usb dac and a headphone amp in one small box (i.e. it can be used as either...- mjb

connecting a wire w/out solder
ok, so i have a cheap fm transmitter and the antenna broke off the circuit board at the solder point. i don't own, nor have any interest in purchasing a solder gun/equipment... so my question is, can i just super glue the wire back on the solder blob it broke off of or is there another, better...- mjb

Linux-fi
i've been using linux on the desktop since slackware back in like 94 :-) well, i have gone through some free/openbsd, solaris and irix periods since then.... now, in the last few years i've been just using xp, mostly because of this goofy audio habit...and i just simply don't do wine or vm's...- mjb

actually i created the thread, not because i care what people might think, but really just to express my satisfaction with this headphone... and i'm too lazy to find an old e500 impressions thread :-) mjb- mjb
