This is such a different review from Skylab's. Combined with recent amp-hum complaints, Im wondering if there isnt a quality control issue in the T70 line.

Just tried Beats Pro today. If you dont need detail, they were good. I actually enjoyed them and they wear very nicely on the head. But if you like a bit of sparkle and atmosphere/soundstage I would not choose them.

Top of pg 5 of this thread says they are filled with a gel as-is. Is that not the case?

If you have that much to spend, Leckerton's got good amps. I plan on getting the T70p with the UHA-6S. The Leckerton amps seem to have a very slight curve higher on the bass and slightly lower on the treble, which seems right for these phones. Also you can play with the op amps on the 6 or 6S...
