OPPO HA-2 Portable Headphone Amplifier/DAC Discussion Thread
you actually can use the DACport with an iOS device, but it's a little cumbersome (https://www.centrance.com/products/dacport/dacport_with_ipad.shtml). I haven't tried it myself. I've only used the DACport (with amp) with my MacBook Pro.- mateored

PRESS RELEASE: Bang & Olufsen announces BeoPlay H3 and H6 headphones
In case anyone cares, it plays fine through a Centrance DACport using the standard cable. I'm listening to them right now : )- mateored

PRESS RELEASE: Bang & Olufsen announces BeoPlay H3 and H6 headphones
I'm not sure if that's accurate. They use lots of different brands, including JBL, Harbeth, for example. Also, I know that B&W makes some incredible products. their top of the line speakers are outstanding. However, I'm just pointing out that some stodgy audiophiles complain that they are...- mateored

Best recorded albums of all time?
Let me also add: • Grateful Dead: Reckoning. (If you search on-line, you can find free, hi-res versions of the recordings that were used to make up this album, called Live at the Warfield, I think) • the Jerry Garcia Band box set • most of the Sigur Ros albums -
Best recorded albums of all time?
There are some good suggestions in this thread (and, honestly, some puzzling ones too). I'll try not to repeat previous suggestions here, although I want to thank the posters who recommended Diana Krall: Live in Paris and Muddy Waters: The Folk Singer. Both excellent recordings. The Muddy... -
PRESS RELEASE: Bang & Olufsen announces BeoPlay H3 and H6 headphones
By the way, some audiophiles might argue that B&W/Bowers is becoming the same type of company recently. Although their products are still really good, they are becoming much more interested in car stereos, iPod docks, etc. And their home speakers are, arguably, over-priced due to brand...- mateored

PRESS RELEASE: Bang & Olufsen announces BeoPlay H3 and H6 headphones
I would agree that most serious audiophiles don't consider Bang & Olufsen to be serious audiophile gear (and they are generally correct - especially in recent years). However, $399 is not serious audiophile territory anyway. And, the fact of the matter is that, for comfortable closed-back...- mateored

PRESS RELEASE: Bang & Olufsen announces BeoPlay H3 and H6 headphones
Interesting. I wonder if it was something about the pair I was listening to at the Apple store or the way it was set up. I went into the store thinking I was probably going to get the P7s (since I like my wife's P5s quite a bit for their size), but I really didn't like them at all. Like I...- mateored

PRESS RELEASE: Bang & Olufsen announces BeoPlay H3 and H6 headphones
Just picked up a pair of tan H6's a few days ago. Here are my initial impressions: These are about the most comfortable pair of phones I have used. The only ones I have used that are about as comfortable are the Sony MDR-1's. I prefer phones with soft leather ear cups instead of plush...- mateored
