Just listened and I'm not getting any kind of buzzing through my pair either. Perhaps just a stroke of bad luck?  

I'm content with both sound and looks of my headphones at the moment. Sporting my ESW10s around town gives me a happy smile.  

Concerning tips, I may be in the minority here, but I vastly prefer the Comply tips (the long ones) over the Shure olives. It may just be my untrained ears, but I barely hear a difference between the two and the Complys are just way more comfortable to use. I don't know if its the outer tapering...

Sounds to me the Audio-Technica ES7's would fit the bill. Rock and Hip-hop sound great on my ESW10's and I hear the ES7's have a similar sound signature. My only gripe is that they're a bit fatiguing.

Walked passed a guy wearing the fullsize Beats. He had them pretty damn loud, but looked like he was enjoying them a lot.

I would love an Audio-Technica ESW10jpn wallpaper.
