I enjoy tons of different music; mostly jazz, but also electronic music and soundtracks (classical). Over time the headphones I've enjoyed most were ones with a strong(er) bass - but not overdone like the Beats.- MarsNielson

I've heard a lot of good things about the KEF M500, but I've never enjoyed on-ear headphones for more than an hour or so. That's just my personal taste :)- MarsNielson

Looking for a superb full-size headphone with great noise isolation (not NC)
Thanks, noted - but I was looking for if anyone had tried both of them (The Momentum and the MDR-1R) and could compare the isolation of them both.- MarsNielson

Never heard of the T70, but the isolation is very important for my use. Any experience with either the MDR-1R or Momentum in connection with isolation?- MarsNielson

For longer listening sessions I always prefer over-the-ear headphones, but your recommendation is duly noted.- MarsNielson

Looking for a superb full-size headphone with great noise isolation (not NC)
Hi all, I'm looking for the best noise isolation headphone money can buy (Budget is about 400$ - but less is more than welcome). Fiio E10 USB DAC warning!
Quote: I have the exact same problem. Although only when *no* music is playing then I get a low "humming" noise which is really annoying. What brand of cable did you go for?- MarsNielson

Let me first say that I'm no audiophile by a longshot, but I have the option of getting the new D600 at a reduced price (€400) at my local HiFi store as they have them on sale. My current cans are a very old pair of Denon AH-D750 which I like very much. So much so that they have more or...- MarsNielson

Quote: Thanks... people seem to like them. But I still fell they might be overkill and that I should get one of these instead: Ultrasone PRO 750 (€ 244) Audio Technica ATH-M50 (€ 145) AKG K550 (€ 196) As they are much more within my actual budget range.- MarsNielson
