Any love for the Activo CT10?

Ya, looks like the date codes would be WE: 1965 May ZH: 1968 August I'm assuming I want a matched date pair as well?

    Liquid Platinum Tube Rollers.

Ahh. Thanks. They do all have the KB/AD label, so no worries there. I'll request the best testing of them. Thanks so much.

    Liquid Platinum Tube Rollers.

Hey all, need some help. So I won the CV2492's that @Wes S posted above a few days ago. Then I just received this message from the seller below... "As I started packing all eBay valves to be shipped, I noticed that the two valves you won coded ZJ have been sold previously in fact I sold other...

[WTB]: Your balanced amp - FOUND

No problem, thanks for the head's up! I'll see if I can make that happen, but worse comes to worse I'll just keep an eye on the page.

[WTB]: Your balanced amp - FOUND

I think it's important to note that having XLR inputs does not a "balanced amp" make. There's a reason that really high-end balanced tube amps like the Dragon Inspire HA-1 or the DNA tube amps do not include XLR inputs, but remain balanced amps (600i included) with 4-pin output jacks. I'm not...

On the search for a "musical" dac under $3k

It just made my shortlist for sure. After a couple quick reviews it definitely seems like something that I want to look at seriously. Ya, it's killing me that I can't spend more time there. But I got lucky that I could even come a day. I'm a filmmaker and will be on set that week, so I'm...

On the search for a "musical" dac under $3k

Thanks for the recommendations. I'm definitely doing a fair amount of new research on the Yggy right now, so we'll see how that goes. I do agree with your take on the RME. Admittedly, part of me wants to just experience something "different" and see if it draws me into a new dimension of my...

On the search for a "musical" dac under $3k

Neutral being described as somewhat dry, no coloration or hint of coloration. In reading @Torq's review of the Holo Spring he compares it a lot to the Yiggy and frequently describes the Yiggy's sound as a more neutral presentation, while the Holo has more of a sweetness to its sound. Granted...

On the search for a "musical" dac under $3k

Would you describe it similarly to what I described above? How long have you had it? I do have a lot of DSD files in my collection, though I'm not against converting them to PCM in roon. I currently do that with my RME ADI-2 to take advantage of the DSP features.

[WTB]: Your balanced amp - FOUND

I have a mint-condition Questyle CMA600i that I'm planning to sell for that amount if interested. It does have an integrated dac, but I don't use the dac at all. It's one of the best solid state balanced amps I've ever heard, but I'm hoping to upgrade to a TOTL tube amp. PM me if interested.
