Meze 99 Classics Discussion + Impressions Thread

I demoed them on an iPhone X with Apple's lightning to 3.5mm adapter and they were good enough to convince me to buy them. My old iPhone SE is also doing fine with them, as is my MacBook Pro. I don't know your equipment, but these headphones don't seem overly demanding.

Meze 99 Classics Discussion + Impressions Thread

Finally ran into these at a local hi-fi shop. Couldn't stop listening to the demo unit, so I bought a pair. These are fun without being painful in a way I've never seen anyone pull off before, and they work straight out of Apple's silly headphone dongle. What's not to love? I'm not even sure...

    Sennheiser HD 600 Impressions Thread

Quote:   Most onboard sound I've heard is truly awful. I can even hear noise whenever I move the mouse or anything accesses the hard drive or network. It's infuriating! Sometimes I wonder how these things sell at all… but then again, most people won't notice or care. I was dating a woman...

New iPod Touch 4G first impressions

Quote:   If by "proprietary storage system," you mean "folder at a disclosed (and changeable) location on your drive" then you'd be right. I've had no trouble copying purchased songs out of iTunes onto my Linux desktop, which then has no trouble playing them.

New iPod Touch 4G first impressions

I upgraded from a second-gen iPod Touch to the 4th gen. The hiss on my SE530s (from the headphone out) is gone!     As to sound quality, I do prefer this to the second gen, but I'm not 100% sure it's not just because I'm happy about all the non-music things it does better too. Either way...

Scared... just ordered Sennheiser 600s... should I have gotten 650s?

    Reminiscing

I just found, deep in a backup folder, the files from the first CD I ever burned… back when Napster was still alive (OK -- so that was forever ago to a 24-year-old… I was in high school at the time). Horrible quality, highlighted by the equipment I'm pumping it through, and yet I'm moved beyond...

    TF10 Pro died… worthy replacements?

Hmmm…that is an interesting option I hadn't thought of at all! I don't think the drivers were hurt by recent events. They have given me minor trouble in that if I use them for hours on end, eventually I lose bass in the right channel -- taking them out of my ears and letting them sit for an...

    TF10 Pro died… worthy replacements?

Sorry -- I was trying to move to a new forum. Is there a better way to accomplish this?

    TF10 Pro died… worthy replacements?

First posted: http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f15/tf...cements-446766 because apparently I clicked the wrong link. So my TF10 Pro look like this now: Terrible picture, I know, but I'm sure it illustrates the point -- I can't exactly use these anymore. So I ask -- what would be a worthy...

Oops -- sorry. Thought I put it somewhere sane. Thanks for the heads up! First, the nozzle fell off, then taking the cable out to try to glue them back together, the socket tore out instead and broke the wires leading into the earphone. What some super glue could have held for now I don't...
