[REVIEW] Sony MH1 – The Best Kept Secret

Quote:  Clearly you don't know the mathematics of probability and statistics. Assuming it's a quality control issue, getting one bad one is unlikely... getting  2, 3 or 4 in a row is absurdly improbable (particularly since they were different Sony models). It's far more probable that people...

[REVIEW] Sony MH1 – The Best Kept Secret

Quote:   Ps I don't understand how me liking them for the first few weeks means sh!t. Are you seriously suggesting that it's some kind of personality flaw to change one's opinion after a design problem becomes apparent ???? Magazines like Stereophile routinely revise opinions based on...

[REVIEW] Sony MH1 – The Best Kept Secret

Quote: Mine sound awesome when first plugged in but, over the next 10 to 20 minutes, the left earphone "slowly" fades down to about about 1/3-1/4 of what it should be. I wonder if, after the first few minutes, people just don't notice this... I really can't see this affecting only a...

[REVIEW] Sony MH1 – The Best Kept Secret

Quote: I loved the sound of these earphones until they stopped working properly after just few weeks. Shoot me for gushing over their sound before I realized that I'd bought a useless piece of crap that only works for 10-20 minutes at a time before one channel cuts out. Maybe I should...

[REVIEW] Sony MH1 – The Best Kept Secret

Quote: I don't understand why everyone keeps raving about these and ignoring the fact they are plagued with balance problems that make them virtually useless. Sure they sound good but what good are they if every time you take them out you don't know if they will work for 5 minutes or an...

If you still love Etymotic ER4, this is the thread for you...

Ps I'm getting a good seal in both ears so the poor performance (in comparison to Comply's) is not due to poor fit.

If you still love Etymotic ER4, this is the thread for you...

Quote: I got custom ACS eartips for my HF3 and was VERY disappointed. The were inferior to a simple pair of Comply's in EVERY way. The Comply's have better sound (maybe because they allow for deeper insertion), they have significantly better isolation, they are much less susceptible  to...

ACS custom tips for Etymotic HF3.

Yes, one would "assume"  but... I'm wondering what people's ACTUAL experience has been when comparing the Comply's to the custom ACS.

ACS custom tips for Etymotic HF3.

Just got the custom tips for my HF3. The sound seems more balanced than any other tips I've tried with the Ety's but I'm a little surprised that I seem to get better isolation with Comply's. Isolation and comfort where that main reasons to get the custom tips. Has anyone else had that experience?

Does iPod Classic have a sound quality advantage over the iPhone 5?

This question has almost certainly been asked before but, after searching I can't find a direct comparison. Any thoughts on whether the iPod Classic has an audible sound quality advantage over the iPhone5?

[REVIEW] Sony MH1 – The Best Kept Secret

PS. What's so infuriating is that it's like Sony invented a new kind of  malfunction just to plague these IEMs and make the point that, you never get something for nothing. Seriously who has ever heard of this kind of malfunction. It's absurd.

[REVIEW] Sony MH1 – The Best Kept Secret

Quote: Actually, my MH1c's do "reset" and function fine after I leave them for a time. It's just that, 2 nights in a row, halfway through a long walk the left side simply stopped working. I really like the sound of these and it pisses me off that they are essentially useless (since I can't...

[REVIEW] Sony MH1 – The Best Kept Secret

Quote: No  it' NOT a $20 earphone. It's an $80 earphone and the fact that some people got their hands on bulk packages that they are selling for a discount doesn't give Sony an excuse for producing crap.
