Campfire Chat - Official Campfire Audio 2024 Thread!
Have you discounted the official CFA cables? I use the pure silver litz 4.4mm with the Sony IER-Z1R + E4UA adaptors. Low profile, no microphonics, no ear guide. Would be all over it if CFA did a T2 IPX variant so I could put it on my 64A custom...- LFC_SL

I will keep an open mind until the Moondrop smartphone is in the wild, good luck to them https://www.gsmarena.com/audiophile_brand_moondrop_teases_its_first_smartphone_the_miad_01-news-62553.php GSM arena seem to believe it will have both 3.5mm and 4.4mm headphone out I wonder if Moondrop...- LFC_SL

It is absolutely fine when it actually is the ultimate, only five of that McLaren hypercar will ever be built. Personally I have no issue with the Audio Technica set compared to some of the jumping on the price bandwagon releases we have seen :relaxed:- LFC_SL

Fir Audio Thread - Discussion and Impressions
Hello twist to insert and twist to remove is normal because of ear anatomy and to avoid stress on the connectors. See YouTube video from clear tune monitors (mute the music if you are in a public place) A perfect fit should mean a perfect seal. Isolation from external sound. No feeling of...- LFC_SL

Empire Ears - Discussion & Impressions (Formerly EarWerkz)
Unsure how you interpreted the posts by Ohm and Deezel in this way? At this point, strictly we are unable to know if it was Empire, Effect Audio or simply accidents do happen re dropping onto a hard floor, until an engineer looks at everything. I agree with the posts it is more likely the...- LFC_SL

For universal tips I use SS, S - or M at a push The Camelot shells are large I think the extended nozzle and curve on the inside of the shell is as well thought out is possible. So I found Camelot fitting to be fine. The Ext is a universal that I could never get to fit right in contrast, felt...- LFC_SL

I do not know about the planar driver but on BA tech you can find things out by stalking Knowles / Sonion press releases :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes...- LFC_SL

Feedback and criticism are different things and it is easy to misconstrue intent on a written forum without verbal and facial cues. Suggesting change with the wrong words then comes across as bold or negative. Thinking the cooler trends to expensive new releases is perhaps not a unique opinion...- LFC_SL

SONY IER-Z1R
The M7, M9 and IER-Z1R are not the perfect IEM for everyone but props to Sony for designing monitors that remains in the conversation after all these years. Yes Sony are an international conglomerate trying to sell you lots of different things, but the Walkman team at the least have been...- LFC_SL

NEW HiBy R4
Look forward to it. I would be grateful for a couple of paragraphs about the design please. Trying to get my head around the PR photographs and the utility of the built-in carabiner attachment. If hooked to a bag does that mean any faster than walking pace the device will bang against something...- LFC_SL

Funnily enough I just listened to a Darko Audio podcast (episode from 2023, I am massively behind on every podcast subscription), Which discussed this very subject of the polarising Trifecta. The guest speaker said they liked it particularly on Michael Jackson's Bad album Edit: typo- LFC_SL

This might be controversial, I think that Royal Camelot looks rushed and untidy. This view is due to the unevenness of the spacing between the diamonds and apparent untidiness of where the faceplate meets the shell. Compare and contrast to the symmetry here...- LFC_SL
