You have lived a lifetime compared to what I have done sitting in front of a desk for 30 years and only been to 5 countries for maybe a total of a few weeks.- Lépine

No worries. It's all fair game once it's out here in the interweb. I can take a little ribbing :)- Lépine

It took a few years and it's not a cable I found where I could borrow it. I'm happy with it 💪- Lépine

I finally got myself a set of these KS-1136 balanced XLR cables. They're about $4100 per meter so insane. Almost doesn't make sense in my system because they are more expensive than the components they are connecting. But wow, it's like upgrading from iPhone dongle to an HugoTT2. The...- Lépine

McIntosh MHA200 Impressions
First hour with the brand new KS-1136. Whoa this is going to need some burn in. 1) Very detailed and extremely bright, but very smooth. 2) Extreme sub-bass, noticeably attinuated. 3) Upper bass so tight, never heard anything like this level of upper bass mid bass improvement (or simply the...- Lépine

McIntosh MHA200 Impressions
Hello Jason, You're always great for getting advice. TheSourceAV is a great place to visit and bring home something that adds more smiles every time. I decided after three years of enjoying the MHA200 to go for the KS1136 XLR Interconnects. Go big or go home :)- Lépine

Sony WM1AM2 and WM1ZM2 Android Walkman Optimization Guide
Does anyone know what could be the longer term effects of setting the volume on 100% from the 1Zm2 for years on end? Will this quickly wear out the Sony? I did find a solid state headphone amp that is okay with the Sony. The Beyerdynamics A20 is okay, it definitely gives a much larger soundstage...- Lépine

Sony WM1AM2 and WM1ZM2 Android Walkman Optimization Guide
I beg your pardon, yes mine does. I miswrote. I have it on high gain all the time; however, it doesn't seem to produce that much more gain. It is more like a low and medium gain rather than a normal and high gain with the IEMs I like to use. But again, probably being too critical? The Sony...- Lépine

Sony WM1AM2 and WM1ZM2 Android Walkman Optimization Guide
I've gone back to listening to my Kann Cube for my Viking Ragnar. I miss the power and wonder if adding a C9 or Topaz to the Sony would make it sound more like an RS8 or Kann? I love the Sony sound, but find it doesn't hit notes hard on rare occasions when I want it. A higher gain would have...- Lépine

Sony WM1AM2 and WM1ZM2 Android Walkman Optimization Guide
Or, it might be more about my ability to remember what it sounded like before changing everything :) All of these tips are great. And if the Sony is working less to playback off of SD cards, chances are that it's performing up to its full theoretical potential. I have a RS8, SP2000, and the...- Lépine

Sony WM1AM2 and WM1ZM2 Android Walkman Optimization Guide
Yes definitely less to load into memory helps with the cold boot up times. I think also opening the Sony app maybe quicker too from an already booted up hardware.- Lépine

Sony WM1AM2 and WM1ZM2 Android Walkman Optimization Guide
I may not be able to clearly discern the audible improvement, but in theory I completely agree. If the reduction in time to rebuild a 13,000 song library is done in 40% less time, something has made the Walkman faster. It's working less in order to accomplish the same task. I really like the...- Lépine

Sony WM1AM2 and WM1ZM2 Android Walkman Optimization Guide
Ah, I was wondering about the wallpapers, thank you. I am happy where it is. And it would only be trying to satisfy my need to keep the Sony as pure as possible, which apparently has high risk. I'll not touch it anymore. I definitely would not want to have to figure out how to make a...- Lépine
