In terms of bass itself they are quite familiar, but when talking about an actual song the purple sounds tad more warmer and more bass.( the treble are better damped)

not the same as blue version, all the different versions of TH900 sounds slightly different, but I would still say this is the best version(haven't had black )except I just prefer blue color better.

I use to hear red, white, blue and this one. I would say this is the best version in terms of the sibilance control that TH900 always having problem with.
