Hy guys/girls.   I'm quite new. Joined the forum to have access to ppl who have experience with audio equipment and to ask them about advices in the related subject, and post my experiences with other equipment.

Take the deal, try it out, and if you don't like it, sell it. The 550 is a more expensive pair so you can easily get the money back if it wouldn't fit your taste then buy the K545 or some other pair. You might even end up with some extra money.

Would be nice to know why they broke down Either its a factory defect or maybe it happened cause of what you are using it might have caused the problem (blown out cause of more W then it can handle or over excursion). With that many repairs behind its back I wouldn't think about repairing it...
