Known bugs/issues with latest X7 firmware

Almost. I have an artist starting with Ü. This character still displays as a Chinese character. Strangely, however, the lower case ü does display correctly.

If you click the little folder icon (rather than the a-z icon) in any view you should get correct alphabetical ordering.

The frustrating thing is that the alphabetical ordering (in song, artist, album or folder view) is perfect I when order items by clicking the little folder icon, but it is not right (almost random-looking in places) when I click the "a-z" icon. The scrolling with the edge of the screen to select...

Is there ever going to be any improvement in the ordering of artists, albums and songs? It does get quite frustrating when trying to scroll to an artist when the artists seem to be almost randomly ordered. I would have thought it would be fairly simple to implement correct alphabetical ordering.

Weird, it worked fine for me in Chrome. No messages about site not being trusted.   https://www.dropbox.com/s/8i10sw54sunsp6g/X7-3.0.12.161216_beta_b19.zip?dl=0

It downloaded fine for me. I think you need to keep the tab open to avoid your download being cancelled.

I have the same problem. The blue light does not turn off when charging (at least the light does not turn off when the X7 is off and charging).

I have the same album and the same problem with the display of text:   The album artist should read: Sigur Rós The album title should read: Ágætis Byrjun   They display as shown in CH23's picture. (Curiously the text displays correctly in folder view. However, the artist is out of order...

I wouldn't say things are getting close. None of the biggest annoyances for me have been fixed. The biggest problem is that it still will not scan (or even play) all the tracks on my SD card. There are other basic features that are not right: alphabetical ordering is still not alphabetical (this...

Are you sure the whole thing downloaded? If it stopped downloading part way through then you will receive an error if you try opening the zipped folder on your computer.

It's not that slow. I am downloading it now and Chrome says it will take about an hour.

Official X7 beta firmware (Android 5.1) download and discussion thread -- FW3.0.6 beta

I had tried that first, and it didn't work. So then I went and looked at FiiO's instructions which say "Hold the Volume down and Power button to enter the recovery mode" which made me think I should be holding the "volume down" button (down!), rather than holding the "volume up" button.  ...

For some reason it will not even go into recovery mode. Holding volume down and power button just boots it up normally (except for once when it booted up with "Safe Mode" diplayed in the bottom left corner).

My 200GB card is almost full of music. The 8300 or so tracks that do scan add up to more than 128GB, and so there would obviously be no problem with scanning all the tracks on a 128GB card.
