If you remove the grill on the HE400se' there's a round lip under the grill where you can stick the foam to.

It shouldn't affect it too much, but be very careful on the amount of pressure you put on the driver. Those tend to crack easily and you'll have a broken driver.

I have these paired to an E30 DAC with a Sabaj A10h as an amp. They sound phenomenal to me, I don't think you'll get more out of it by going up to a D50s, just my opinion.

Can anybody recommend good quality upgrade cables for the HE4xx. I tried the NewMusica ones from amazon and hate them cuz theyre short and the braid is made of plastic.

I dislike the rigidness of the plastic and it does not relax even after use and when it rubs against clothes or surfaces there is audible sound that can be heard.

I returned my L30 back to Amazon after reading all the posts at Audiosciencereview regarding the potential ESD issue. I have a metal feet on my desk to help it ground to earth, but I am not taking chances with that thing going up in smoke or damaging my headphones.
