    Dekoni Blue Loaner Tour

I'd love to compare these to my Hifiman HE-400i's and Fostex TX-0's. I fully agree to the terms and conditions!

    Fostex T-X0 Massdrop edition

I've been playing with pads and keep coming back to the stock pads as my preferred listening experience. I listened with the HM5 pads for about a week and though there was significantly more bass, the soundstage suffered terribly and it was like listening to my music coming at me from the end...

    Fostex T-X0 Massdrop edition

At this price point, I personally wasn't expecting to be blown away. I'm very happy with the resulting cans and for a first foray away from my DT770's, these are a breath of fresh air. Any recommendations for a headphone amp between the Magni 3 or the Vali 2? I've always been enamored by the...

    Fostex T-X0 Massdrop edition

Coming from SE215's and Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 80 Ohm's, these have a LOT more clarity and I'm finally actually hearing a distinct "soundstage." Amping with Fiio A5, by the way, but Schiit stack is in the future. Not anywhere near as much bass as the DT770, though very enjoyable (recovering...

    Fostex T-X0 Massdrop edition

Thanks for sharing your experience, it's encouraging and hopefully I can wait a little longer before investing in a more expensive amp. Did you join the drop in time?

I joined as well! Can anyone weigh in on how well a fiio a5 would drive these?

    Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 80-Ohm Thread

Not actually leather, but the HM5 pads fit my DT770's with no problem.   http://www.mp4nation.net/brainwavz-hm5-spare-earpad-1-pair   Ships from China, so hopefully getting them shipped to the UK won't be an issue....   I have no experience with the pads you linked to, but the Mrspeaker...

    Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 80-Ohm Thread

The e10k will do a fantastic job. I am extremely happy that I went with it. It has a bass boost for when you really want that low end and is more than capable of driving the DT770 80-ohm to uncomfortable volumes without distortion.

    Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 80-Ohm Thread

I purchased these headphones (DT770/80) just over 2 years ago and lived without a dac until last month. Up until then I used the Fiio E06 to "power" the headphones, but I never felt like it did much besides bloat the sound with the built in eq settings.   Just to test the waters I purchased...

Fiio Andes (E07K) VS. Fiio E17: What's the difference, and how does it sway the amateur audiophile?

Quote: Did you bite the bullet and purchase the E07K? I'm using the same headphones and looking at my first amp. Are you happy with your purchase?

The NEW JVC HA-S400. Affordable Carbon Nanotube cans for the masses.

Quote:   I hope so. I just ordered the Z02 so I'll know soon enough. I noticed a huge difference in the sound when I taped the ports and dampened the interior behind the driver.

The NEW JVC HA-S400. Affordable Carbon Nanotube cans for the masses.

I've been subscribed to this thread since it's beginning because it was right at that time I decided to start looking into high-fi headphones.   After reading the hype and seeing the various and incredibly simple ways to tweak the sound from the headphones I decided to forgo investing $200+...
