Thanks for sharing. So how do you have things connected? ..... XLR to Serene and SE to Bliss (or vice versa) or are you perhaps using an XLR switcher? I was trying to avoid using SE from my May KTE and my idea with using the Serene as a Pre was to set Serene to 0dB and just control volume via...- kayhikski

Holo Audio Bliss
Is anyone using the Bliss and Serene together? I have a Serene in my 2Ch setup and I don't want to compromise on its ability as a preamp but I also want the best headphone amp so I am considering adding a Bliss and connecting it via the XLR1 out on my Serene preamp. Thoughts?- kayhikski

Schiit Lyr Tube Rollers
I sprang for these. I see you own a pair from 1968 which I am thinking might be from the same seller and to have a seller recommendation was very helpful .... plus your comments to Winders piqued my interest. Thank you.- kayhikski

Nice plan. Great! Winders, mourip, thanks for your feedback on using an isolation transformer. This is something I'm going to have to try.- kayhikski

I agree with what you are saying that bringing all the equipment to the same ground potential can outweigh the benefits of removing noise from other connected devices. That's why I mentioned that dedicated circuits should be of equal length if you go that route. There's a great article on...- kayhikski

Very interesting. I can see this being effective for a computer based headphone listening environment utilizing DDC + DAC + Amp as long a the computer is left upstream of, or outside of, the isolation transformer and the DDC has a linear power supply and is in addition proving a galvanically...- kayhikski

You are most welcome! Good point. The Oppo BDP-105 will convert SACD to PCM but only over HDMI. My solution to that when I purchase the Yggdrasil will be to pre-convert the ripped dsf files to FLAC using JRiver Media Center and put those on the hard drive. One could alternatively...- kayhikski

I sent off all my SACD's and DVD-Audio discs to Golden Ear Digital along with a hard drive and they sent back the fully tagged rips. I paid $5 for stereo only and $7.50 for both stereo and multichannel layers. I copied the rips to 3 different SSD drives (office headphone, work headphone as...- kayhikski
