I bought urBeats, Bose sport, and some cheaper pairs... but nothing comes close. Any suggestions?

This there a way to hook this up to my iPod?  

  I have some Sony MDR-XB700 and a 4yr old Dell laptop... the headphone jack on the PC makes the cans crackle at times (doesn't happen with any other sources).  Will this DAC/amp fix this issue?  Will this sound better than when I hook up to my iPod?  I'm new to all this stuff.  Thanks

Besides the appearance... what is the difference between PORTAPRO vs. SPORTAPRO?   I like the SPORTAPRO look better, but don't want to sacrifice looks for sound quality.   Thanks

Despite how ugly the PortaPros are, I've read alot of good things.  And for $35... can't go wrong.  If they suck, then I'll just go buy some Beats.   Any other suggestions are still being considered...   Thanks

I have 4 gift cards to Best Buy & want some good headphones for under $120.  I have some old Sennheiser HD437, but want deeper bass.   I listened to Beats in the store & they sounded good, but not $200 good, plus everyone on this forum hates them.   I would buy Sony XB500 / XB700 or...

I listen to mostly Top 40 (rock & rap) music.  I like deep bass, but want clear mids & highs too.  They will be hooked up to my Dell laptop or iPod Classic.   I'd prefer on-ear headphones, rather than over the ear eadphones.   Any suggestions now?

So it's down to the Sony XB500 and Shure SRH440.  Both under $100.  SO, FINAL DECISION TIME... Which one is better???   Also, will these sound better than my old set of Sennheiser HD437?

I have some gift cards from xmas & want a good set of headphones for my computer.  I don't want to spend over $200-250.  Help me out please.   I'm about to buy some Beats headphones, but heard someone from this forum say they are junk for the money.
