Why do so few IEMs have an oval nozzle?

Bumping old thread, but topic is same as what I'm looking for.  I just bought the panasonic hje120 and it has an oval nozzle.  It's super comfortable and creates a seal very easily.  So comfy and can fall asleep with them on.    Does anybody know any other oval nozzle IEM under $50?  I don't...

The PANASONIC RP-HTF600-S headphones. More fun than the HD650?

Quote: I believe it is debatable.  Some believe it, some don't.  Don't know all the technicalities of it, but it makes sense that the drivers loosening up over time will change the sound signature especially in the beginning.  And from personal experience and confidence in my hearing...

The PANASONIC RP-HTF600-S headphones. More fun than the HD650?

Glad to see this thread still trucking along with more people on the panny 600 train.  IMO, burn in a must with these to fully judge.  Bass cleans up a lot.  Velours, a must, oh so comfy.  Battlefield 3 beta was just awesome with these headphones.

The PANASONIC RP-HTF600-S headphones. More fun than the HD650?

Just put my velours on now, bass still there, comfort improved.  I think I am now thoroughly pleased with these.  Don't even care about getting superlux 668b's anymore.  Why bother, these sound awesome on BF3 beta.

The PANASONIC RP-HTF600-S headphones. More fun than the HD650?

I'm loving these 600's.  Different strokes for different folks i guess.  Didn't know I could get this quality for this cheap.  The only thing that bothers me is the sweaty ears with pleather, but once I get the velours, think these will be great.   I find these hard to beat for gaming...

The PANASONIC RP-HTF600-S headphones. More fun than the HD650?

Just checked the 600's with battlefield 3 beta, sounded good.  Didn't get to test longer than 10 minutes though, server crashed on me and game froze.  Took forever to get into a game too, hope this is not what the retail version will be like.  Or maybe my geforce 9800gt just gave out, lol, damn...

The PANASONIC RP-HTF600-S headphones. More fun than the HD650?

Just ordered some velour pads for my 600's, couldn't take it anymore, getting jealous of everybody else with velours.

The PANASONIC RP-HTF600-S headphones. More fun than the HD650?

Just tried out my 600 on counterstrike source.  Was using dolby headphone and the 600 sounded much better than my koss ksc-75.  All sounds including footsteps are more detailed and positioning is much better.  Gunshots have more weight to them.  I especially noticed the change in shotgun blasts...

The PANASONIC RP-HTF600-S headphones. More fun than the HD650?

Lossfizzle, you really think the ksc75 does imaging better?  Hmm, isn't imaging the ability to separate instruments and sounds?  It seems the panny 600 is way better at dolby headphone than my koss ksc-75.  I have been hearing more details in songs as well without the dolby headphone DSP mode. ...

The PANASONIC RP-HTF600-S headphones. More fun than the HD650?

Quote: In his review, I think he mentions koss ksc and portapros as better bang for the buck.  I been using the ksc75's for a while now and IMO, this panny 600 sounds much better.

Quote: Nice, thanks for review.  Still wondering if I should get these or the superlux hd668b.

Imaging and detail seems lot better than ksc-75, highs less harsh.  This is great.

Big thanks to Dsnuts for introducing these and Malveaux for the in-depth review.   I'm starting to like these more and more.

The PANASONIC RP-HTF600-S headphones. More fun than the HD650?

Got my rp-htf600 today.  Burned in for only 20 minutes now.  Sounds better to me on A/B comparison with my koss ksc-75, cleaner, better bass extension and texture, midrange sounds more full and smooth.  Ksc-75 definitely wins in comfort for me and is more airy being a fully open design.  ...
