DX340 iBasso developed Discret DAC, Easily replaceable batteries, Amp Modules! ***New firmware on 1st page. v1.03 local update. AMP16 NOS Tube amp. Review on the 1st page! 4/6/25

Can you opine further on the main differences you perceive between 14 vs 16? I have 16 but am still enjoying 15, so haven't started burning-in 16 yet. And I've ordered 14 but it's not yet arrived. Just curious about perceptions of 14 vs 16 before I have a chance to find out for myself. Thanks.

Can you expound further on the differences you hear between amp14 vs. amp15?... and how that shapes your preference? Thanks for any additional info/opinions.

Wondering what you find better about Amp14 over Amp15 with Novus. I've got about 15-20 hours of burn-in on my DX340, and using it with Novus... it sounds pretty friggin' great! I'm a more than a bit of a bass head, and I don't find the low-end on DX340 to be missing much. Maybe in a perfect...

I wish you would have posted this a week ago... since my DX340 is scheduled to arrive tomorrow. I've seen some opinions that it's quite bass shy. But then others say it really isn't. Even Twister6 never really mentions anything about it lacking in low end in his review... and I tend to put...

You use Super Gain even with IEMs? Doesn't that greatly reduce the resolution of the volume control... having to keep it at such a low number/level with IEMs due to the added power?

It seems like, when first released, some DX340 users felt like the low end frequencies were at least a little light compared to DX320. Is that still the case?... that the sub-lows and lows are maybe not as substantial in DX340 versus the DX320? Really getting interested in DX340 reading all the...

If you think wire gauge can make a copper cable sound like a silver cable... regardless of your snark... you don't have a clue what you're on about.

Empire Ears - Discussion & Impressions (Formerly EarWerkz)

This is absolutely not true. For IEMs, no quality pure copper cable will ever sound like a quality pure silver cable, regardless of wire gauge.

Empire Ears - Discussion & Impressions (Formerly EarWerkz)

I've never heard a copper cable that could touch the clarity and depth of sub-bass and bass from a high quality silver litz cable. Good silver cables extend and clear up the low end. Pure copper cables will bloat the mid-bass, but to me... it muddies up the entire low end, and removes much of...

Astell&Kern NOVUS IEM collab with Empire Ears

Yeah... the build quality seems robust, as should be expected with an aluminum shell. I've never had any problem with EE's acrylic shells (aside from direct puppy chomping to bits). But Novus definitely feels almost bullet proof when handling and putting ear tips on. One of the things I like...

Astell&Kern NOVUS IEM collab with Empire Ears

It's a little to early for me to give a serious sound comparison. I will say while I was setting up to break them in for a day or so, I stuck them in my ears to make sure I had a decent volume for break in. Totally surprised at immediately noticing the sound quality was exceptional straight out...

Astell&Kern NOVUS IEM collab with Empire Ears

I received my Novus yesterday. Volume-wise, it's almost exactly the same as my Raven. I listened last night to a few different albums and styles. Every album/track required virtually the exact same DAP volume level (DX320) as Raven (though the IEMs definitely have some differences in sound...
