Gaming upgrade from K7XX? (K712? Something else)
For the record, I found a decent deal on the K712s on Amazon and was curious enough to try them vs the K7XX. (Among other things, I kinda like the burnt orange colorway.) So far they seem to match the comparisons I've read before, but I am thinking they might be a bit harder to drive than the...- JakiChan

Announcing the Audeze LCD-GX, the First Audiophile Gaming Headphone
Two questions for folks who may have opinions: How well would they pair with an m9xx? That's the current DAC/AMP on my gaming PC. (And another one on my Mac desktop, lol) Concerning the mic bleed/pickup - I'm going to run the mic input to the Mic-IN on my motherboard. I assume that...- JakiChan

Gaming upgrade from K7XX? (K712? Something else)
So you're suggesting that the AD-700(X) is *better* at Destiny 2/FPS/general gaming than the K7XX is?- JakiChan

Gaming upgrade from K7XX? (K712? Something else)

Gaming upgrade from K7XX? (K712? Something else)
How is that an upgrade? It's half the price, for one thing - which makes me skeptical.- JakiChan

Gaming upgrade from K7XX? (K712? Something else)
My K7XXs died, and I tried to fix them but failed. They're only $200, so whatever, I could buy another pair but I'm wiling to try something better that's not $1500. Is there something in the $500 range that is an upgrade from the K7XX that is also well suited for gaming? I prefer the open...- JakiChan

New Dragonfly Black and Red Discussion
How do you think they could update a USB adapter that would impact the performance of a USB dac? That seems unlikely.- JakiChan

New Dragonfly Black and Red Discussion
I wanna get a Red but I can't find anyone with them in San Jose. And I don't wanna wait. :p Edit: I could get a Black by tomorrow...not sure if I could tell the difference. But I'd rather have the best...- JakiChan

OPPO HA-2 Portable Headphone Amplifier/DAC Discussion Thread
I'm thinking about picking up an HA-2 SE now that I have an iPhone 7. My only wish - that I could charge it while it was feeding power to the phone. This would be for long road trips only. But can anyone guess for me my total run time if I started with a full iPhone and a full HA-2 SE? I...- JakiChan

If you still love Etymotic ER4, this is the thread for you...
So far I am loving my ER4XRs. I have a 15 year-old pair of ER4S that just weren't driven well with portable gear and to be honest I didn't care enough to drag a portable amp around with me. Back in the day, when I was starting out, my portable player was a Creative Labs NOMAD Jukebox and an...- JakiChan

Grace Design x Massdrop m9XX DAC/Amp Review: First Impressions
I tried to have my redirected but failed. However, the weekend before it arrived I had just installed my new Ring video doorbell. The guy rang the doorbell, I talked to him, and he signed for it and left it hidden on my porch.- JakiChan

Grace Design x Massdrop m9XX DAC/Amp Review: First Impressions
It *is* fairly portable, but I ride a bike to/from work about 20 miles each way. It was extra weight I didn't want to hassle with, even if I bought an extra cable/power supply for each location. I suppose, if my situation changes, I should be able to sell one of them off.- JakiChan

Grace Design x Massdrop m9XX DAC/Amp Review: First Impressions
I have two of these badboys now. One for work and one for home. I'm being told that doing that was insane. Was it? I just didn't wanna hassle with carrying them back and forth on the bike. They're telling me I should have saved the money and spent more on cans...- JakiChan

Fostex x Massdrop TH-X00 Review
And it's a 300+ page thread, and the search tool sucks. Feel free to unsub, I guess, but I went looking for info yesterday that I think will be in the thread and I had a horrible time finding it.- JakiChan

Fostex x Massdrop TH-X00 Review
I do like that wide soundstage, I will say....I'm just not sure I need both at this point, and not sure that it's a clear "upgrade".- JakiChan
